(I bet it is! Which is good for both of us, because it's always fun to point out that Scott Frost is a cocksucker.)

                • Understood. That's probably a bit extra annoying at the moment. Just remind everyone LeBron only signed for two years.

                            • Ex UNL volleyball players making impact on the international scene

                              ""................

Nebraska volleyball coach John Cook stood in front of a group of the country?s most talented high school volleyball prospects at the Huskers? camp last week with a pretty solid recruiting pitch in his back pocket.

Go look at the highlights of the USA Volleyball Cup from early July, where three former Huskers helped the U.S. women?s national team win four straight matches against the No. 1 team in the world.
Jordan Larson-Burbach, Kelsey Robinson and Kayla Banwarth all played key roles in Team USA?s four straight victories over top-ranked Brazil. They will give NU a trio of representatives on the senior national team for the first time heading into a pair of top-level international competitions later this year.
When the final 22-player roster is decided by early next week, all three have a good chance to be on Team USA for the FIVB World Grand Prix, which runs throughout August. Perform well there and the trio may be in the U.S. lineup for World Championships in Italy in October.
Larson-Burbach and Banwarth have been mainstays for Team USA. Larson-Burbach, who finished her All-America career at NU in 2008, won a silver medal as one of the American?s top outside hitters at the 2012 Olympics in London. Banwarth, who played alongside Larson-Burbach at Nebraska from 2005 to ?08, became the top U.S. libero last season and remains a top contender for the No. 1 spot this year after being named the program?s most improved player a year ago.
But Robinson?s quick emergence is a bit of a surprise considering she graduated college last fall. Normally, outside hitters fresh out of college lack the versatility required in the international game, which features much fewer substitutions than the NCAA.
?Kelsey is one of those rare players who comes right out of college much better prepared to contribute in all facets of the game, which is what is demanded of the outside hitter position,? said Team USA coach Karch Kiraly. ?Most college outside hitters come in quite ill-prepared for international play.?
Robinson came to Kiraly?s attention last spring when Cook made a phone call to the national team coach praising Robinson?s passing ability. Robinson was invited to a Team USA tryout in Anaheim, California, where she first trained as a libero. But after injuries and illness thinned the ranks at outside hitter, Kiraly asked Robinson to show what she could do as an attacker.
Robinson made her Team USA debut in May at the Montreux Volley Masters in Switzerland. She then totaled 49 kills in three matches in the USA Volleyball Cup series against Brazil, which had defeated Team USA in the gold-medal matches of the previous two Olympics.
?She?s competing hard. She proved she?s a very good outside this weekend,? said Larson-Burbach, who suffered a sprained ankle in the third match against Brazil. ?We were excited to have her. I can see a great future for her on the national team.?
With their quick approaches, Larson-Burbach and Robinson seem ideal fits for the up-tempo attacking system Kiraly has installed, which seeks to outrun rather than overpower an opposing block.
Larson-Burbach may miss the first weekend of competition at the Grand Prix, which for the U.S. begins Aug. 1 in Turkey. The focus, she said, is to be healthy for the October World Championships, where the U.S. will face a grueling schedule of 11 matches in 15 days.
A gold medal there would be the United States? first world title since 1986.
?We?re trying to do something nobody (on the current team) has ever done before,? Larson-Burbach said. ?We?re trying to build off every performance we can.?
