I'm more than glad to take the win, in light of what the alternative almost was. Put it behind us, and eventually a lot of the details will soon be forgotten, while a loss would have long been remembered as "The Horror II". (Which again makes me wonder aloud, just WTF was Brandon thinking by scheduling Appalachian St. again?!?!?!?! )

Pelini's a dead man walking (and not only in LSU Freak's masterpiece). Anything less than a Legends division championship followed by a win or (at very least) an extremely well-played Championship Game, or he's out of there. The new AD will be glad to find any excuse he can at this point to install his own man at HC, as Pelini's already provided him with plenty of ammo.

It will be extremely bad hype that will force us to watch the last field goal block on the BTN and ESPN a hundred times. There's absolutely nothing good that comes from the PR of rematching Appalachian State. The concept of rematching Appy State has everyone laughing their asses off at us. And the increased TV ratings get split 14 ways, so we get essentially zero benefit to that.
