I believe my write-up of this game was spot-on. It's very difficult to avoid getting sucked into the Evanston Vortex of Sucked. UNL managed to extricate themselves enough to get the cover they so thoroughly deserved.

Dim swarms of flies, drawn to the butchered, emit an audible buzz only interupted only by the gentle sobbing of the mothers and wives of the foolish - and all too mortal - rivals.
Pickett's Charge, Thermopylae, the Siege of Alesia, Memorial Stadium...You have to wonder what makes men willingly march to their doom. In a different era, Plutarch would write of this carnage. This age has no Plutarch, though, because the Corn God is Blood Drunk and in his wake leaves no survivors in his inexorable march to victory."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Milt Tenopir, our longtime offensive line coach under Osborne, passed away tonight after a long battle with Leukemia.
This one hurts..."Uncle Milt" was one of my favs. The discipline, toughness and strength of his players defined what Nebraska was for two generations. Even after a rather unceremonious end to his career, his support for Nebraska was unwavering, even if those he supported didn't necessarily deserve it. In my opinion, he was the Cornhusker.
Rest in peace Coach.
