Freedom has the talent to develop into a good DE, but that's about as far as he'll go. Not real fluid. Stoltenberg is a stiff in terms of pass rush at NT, and Druzis is probably the least athletic starting DE since the 1970s when we were in the 52. Maurice is probably an HM BIG type of guy at 3t.
Gates as all BIG potential as a RT, but probably not as a Left. Knevel isn't real athletic, but is a mountain of a man at RT...I feel good about setting the pocket/edge. As you said, the middle trio is questionable...but it could be switch into a strength quickly if Decker gets in at C, and Barnett returns healthy at LG. Hell, for all we know Hahn could be all-league. (lol)
Of the two units, OL has a much higher ceiling IMO. We're a year away on both sides though, and as a team in general. 2017 is when Riley makes his move...but we have to get through 2016 first.
I'm saying 8-4 reg, hopes of a 9-4 finish.

stan.. that surprised me. TO is usually much more reserved talking about coaches. First time he's said anything like that about Bo publically. So, it's surprising.. frankly, I didn't expect him to say anything ever..Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.

Rare comment for me in this thread but no kidding, form 10,000 feet, Bo pissed off most of the Nebreska Fan base something TO was always respectful of and cultivated. My view was that he caused pretty significant blowback and TO probably got some calls over that.
Don't blame TO one bit for unloading.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

TO always thanked the fans for their support, but never really had much respect IMO. He'd often talk down...like Father Knows Best. His campaign for governor was the ultimate manifestation of that, and his resounding defeat in that endeavor left an angry streak in him.
That, IMO, is why he installed himself as Athletic Director...he was going to show us that he was right again, one way or another. This is why he will never toss Bo under the bus, and IMO, did not do so here. He made a minor concession toward the popularity of Mike Riley, so he can tack that direction in the future if need be. Otherwise he offered support for the job Bo was doing.

I think most view it as TO finally agree Bo wasn't the guy for the job.. Hoss is in the vast minority on thinking was TO blaming the fans during his speech.Last edited by entropy; September 2, 2016, 11:45 AM.Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.
