Let’s see. He started from day one. He scored 30 points on Oregon in his second collegiate game. His coach, Danny Nee, compared his impact on basketball to what quarterback Tommie Frazier did for Husker football.
In just three seasons, Lue became Nebraska’s ninth-leading scorer all-time and was top 10 in 13 other statistical categories. He was first-team All-Big 12, he led the Huskers to the 1998 NCAA tournament, helped win the 1996 NIT and was an NBA first-round draft choice upon leaving a year early.
