                • UNL has lost 4 DT's since the end of the season. 2 left early for the NFL (1 made a mistake, imo), 1 is leaving to another school since he graduated and one is quitting football to focus on academics and his passions (which is fine, but would have been nice to do it before spring practice to give someone else reps.. when you're supposed to start, you get the majority)

This means UNL has 1 senior, 2 soph's and 2 RS Freshman on the depth chart for both inside DL positions.

                      You're joking, right?

If not, let's ask RR how the 3-4 worked out with 2* and 3* players, some of them who played up front weighing less than 240, against BT teams like Wisconsin.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                      • Hey, eventually time ran out on Wisconsin and they had to stop running the ball.

                        • Yes, clearly joking. It (3-4 vs 4-3) requires very different players at too many positions to just make such a change. It can be done but it'd be very rare that most of your personnel could play both.

DE's have more bodies, but less talent. Going into the spring, it was considered the weakness on the team.

                            LB's are young and talented.

...1 soph is coming off a knee injury, and the other hasn't actually played a snap at DT yet IIRC.

The RSFr are a set of freak-athlete twins that will be dominant at some point in the near future, but its doubtful that'll come to fruition in 2016. I think we are going to make substantial strides in pass defense this year only to see them squandered by being soft against the run thanks to Pelini's head-case recruits bailing on us.

                              • The good news is UNL is the talk of California. A lot of kids looking at the program and the committed kids are recruiting hard. Some big names want to visit this fall. Unlike Bo, Riley is willing to be in the mix and try. I bet a couple more commit this fall. the ONLY bad news... no DL in that group. Have to find them in other places.
