Just sassing, Hoss. Armstrong is my B10 fantasy league QB. I was disappointed.

Gotcha...we're a testy bunch these days, LOL.
I do think its a point that needs to be made though. Many of our fans somehow think this is still Tom Osborne's Nebraska, and that we have better players than Purdue...just because. We do not.
With Armstrong and Newby (Who I am not enamored with, but he's our best back) on the field I would think we had a talent edge, but still not by a whole bunch, and lacking in some critical areas (DE, OL). We still might have gotten beat on the last play, who knows. It would have looked better than that.
QB play, and the ability to pressure the QB, is paramount these days. We're sorely lacking in both areas.

All I know is that when you go to Purdue and give up a shitton of points to a bunch of backups, you're screwed. Completely and unequivocally screwed. Start keeping tabs on coaches you'd like to see replace Reilly. It may be the only thing that gets you through the next couple seasons.

Our backup was Imani Cross, a notorious stiff who chose Nebraska at the 11th hour because we were the only program to let him play RB.
Markell Jones (freshman) only received other offers from crappy MAC teams.
You were right about the 5 year recruiting. SB Nation has Nebraska ranked 23rd, Purdue is 61st.
Nebraska's loss to Purdue is embarrassing to that program.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Well, that five games is about three more than Fyfe has played in. Hell, Fyfe came out of our spring game as a forgotten player, let alone garnering any Elite 11 attention.
No idea why Markell Didn't get more offers as the No. 11 RB in the midwest...maybe because he was locked in on Purdue for some time before enrolling last December. Regardless...he's no Imani Cross.

I don't.

IMO, if a person has already decided that he's not the guy...its because that person has chosen to.
