You can get pretty far along with a good inside zone and zone read plus a good bubble screen (read: good blocking WRs) and the occasional vertical off the bubble screen. Obviously you need more than that, and you need to figure out how to best scheme your running plays against certain fronts (ie, OSU's inexplicable unpreparedness to handle VT's bear front). But if you get those elements in you're in decent shape. If you have a QB like Braxton Miller (or Denard) and a decent OL, you're in really good shape. But to fully dominate, you gotta go all-in.

It was good. Summary:
Scott Frost is not going to be Nebs next HC. No HC experience.
Neb's recruiting base hurts HC search and limits the pool of available candidates to a few who would really want to coach at Neb despite that drawback.
Fiscal restraints are going to drive HC offers this time around as compared to the last 3 years. We'll not see $6/7m contracts. It will stay at baseline $4-5 for coaches who can leverage their records, less for those that are judged as good but with less of a record to prove they are good.
Michigan is struggling with its search. There will be no Harbaugh or Butch Jones type of hire. Less Miles is possible but there are still voices that oppose them (Hackett is not one of them). More likely M will get a plan B guy from outside the ranks of coaches seen as elite.
Michigan is not in the list of top 10 coaching jobs anymore. With the exception of osu, all of those jobs are in the south.
The only thing that bothered me a bit about the interview was the degree of authority the interviewee spoke about knowing what is going on inside Michigan. I don't think anyone knows. Otherwise it was very good and he made some good points that spoke of general stuff and trends that are affecting HC searches at Neb, M and UF. When he got to specifics though, esp. with M, he was less convincing to me anyway.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. I'm not sure either Jeff.. I'd guess he is hearing it from those Michigan is contacting. And by that I don't mean Michigan is telling people it is going bad, but rather, the expansion of who is being contacted and levels of interestGrammar... Not sure about that either. (Contacts of those contacted).
I doubt M (whoever is doing the contacting) has cast a wide net. I'd be surprised if many names outside of Harbaugh and Miles have been contacted. Neither of these two are going to say squat about it if they were contacted, Harbaugh because of who he is and Miles because of how the last time M contacted him went down.
It's funny, I suspect this can be a lot like recruiting elite HS players ..... people waiting around to commit until they see what the competition does. It's just at a different level altogether.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. I believe Michigan actually doesn't contact anyone... I believe all schools have go between organizations that allow both the coach and the university to deny any direct contact.
watch the language that is used.. I have not contacted X. I have not been contacted by X. =)Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.

Absolutely ...... there was a lot of criticism of Bill Martin being on a boat in the Caribbean when Miles (or more likely Mile's people) were supposedly trying to contact him.
That may have been but he was absolutely the wrong guy to call and anyone representing Miles at that time were dumb to do it (assuming of course that story is actually true.)Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
