“Guys thought, ‘Don’t be the one to make a mistake that gives up a big play,’ and when you go out and take the field with that mentality, or, ‘I’m going to be the guy who makes this super play,’ you can’t play football the way you’re supposed to play,” Mitchell said. “When your mind isn’t right, you can’t play football the way you’re supposed to play football.”
hmm.. wonder why they feel that way

Grammar... The difference between feeling your nuts and feeling you're nuts.
Has anyone considered the fact that Nebraska was simply physically inferior? You don't give up 942 rushing yards in one game due to scheme and over thinking.
NW is physically inferior and how many yards did they give up? Your suggestion would imply that Western Michigan is physically more gifted than Nebraska. Or that Wisky>>>>MSU when it comes to physical play. Neither is true.
A scheme that wisky can exploit, combine with, imo, players quitting gives you record days.

Wisconsin linebacker Marcus Trotter said "We felt that Nebraska was caving in … We could see that Nebraska was kind of giving up by the third quarter, so we just kept on attacking them."

But for some reaons Bo's defenses have this ability to turn one mistake, one misread, into big plays... especially in the running game. Happens every year regardless of players.

Reading this sort of thing used to make me sick, but I cannot really blame the players for giving up anymore. Their leadership sets them up to fail time and again, then blames them for it. You'd have to be some kind of fool to keep buying in.
That said, Pelini has also created a victim culture up there. For every Ameer Abdullah- who dodged postgame interviews himself at Wisconsin- there are multiple douchbags like Kenny Bell, Jeremiah Sirles or Brandon Reilly whining about criticism and negativity after getting blown out (again), making comments about how the fans are against them, or how hard they have as athletes while sunning their tatooed bodies in the Carribean, or starting fights with fans via social media. It?s a group of players that?s just not easy to like, or feel very empathetic for IMO. Same goes for the coaching staff, although they at least don?t antagonize fans...on social media. They do it on field.
UNL likes to cover the slot WR underneath with a LB. McNeese St. used this against nebraska in the RB passing game. This past weekend, Wisky used it to create numbers on in the weakside. Combine that with other things discussed (team falling apart after Bo chews out our CB, giving up), big plays were easily had

Is there any reason to believe UNL will remove Bo? I mean, if they manage to win their final two games, that's 10-2. Even if they split, 9-3.
I mean, yeah, Gordon dumped all over the Huskerz, but is that enough to hit the tipping point? Is the tipping point even in view?
The tipping point hasn't been reached, but its definitely in sight. The nature of this loss aside, this was a game that Joe Husker Fan really wanted, and its turned some people.
The question being fired at Bo at the Monday presser were often pointed and broad in scope, which is a significant change from the normal grapefruits. And as a friend pointed out, when the local radio stations start splicing your soundbytes for comedic effect then you've crossed a point of no return. This staff could be fighting for its life this week.
That said, there are retards everywhere who stand up for the man, and cannot even explain why. Because, Bill Callahan I guess. Ent and I met one at the bar saturday.
