Nebraska played Miami in five bowl games from 1983-2001. Teams had combined record of 107-6-1 going into those games

Great game. Microcosm of that up and down season with Frazier's injury. Not the greatest Miami team ever but they were #3 and laying at home where they were 55-1 in their last 56 games...and 24-0 in their last 24 night home games. They had one of the best defenses I have ever seen that year...but NU just pounded them all game with one of our best OL's ever.

How many CFB Hall of Famers (or probables) were in that game? Tom Osborne, Milt Tenopir, Charlie McBride Tommie Frazier, Grant Wistrom, Ray Lewis, Warren Sapp. Aaron Taylor, maybe Zach Weigert someday down the road. Lawrence Phillips, if not for being an epic dumbass.

Miami ACs included Butch Davis, Rob Chudzinski and Chuck Pagano.
