  • I ALWAYS drink tequila. When they ask if I want ``room for cream'' at Starbucks, I say leave about 90% of the cup empty.

    • I only drink tequila when I drive and that would be Patron.

              • Patron massively overrated. Good marketing campaign. Lots of others to try -- just go thru the top shelf and see what works. Tequila is an amazing spirit.

                  • So. Miss will be the last game UNL releases balloons after the first score due to a global Helium shortage.

the tradition dates back to the 1940's...

                    • Put talent's posts inside the balloons instead; should be fine.

                            • What an odd little corner of the resource economy:

A crucial ingredient in MRI machines, wafer manufacturing, welding, and more, helium is experiencing a shortage thats driving up its price around the world.

                              • Tyler Moore is back home in Florida, and according to his dad, that’s where the sophomore offensive lineman is likely to stay this fall as he reassesses his college options that still include Nebraska.

Tyler’s father, former Husker tight end Brian Moore, told the Journal Star Monday that his son will likely enroll in some community college classes in Florida this fall and then decide if he is returning to Nebraska or enrolling at local schools like Florida State or Florida in January.

As for any possibility of Moore returning to Nebraska this fall?

“I'd never say never but I can't see it happening because I can't imagine what would change that fast,” Brian Moore said. "I'm sure we could talk him back into going back right now but it wouldn't take care of the things that are causing problems for him.”

Asked if his son had a problem with coaches, he said: "I'm not going to get into that. But I will say this, he loves Bo (Pelini) and he loves Coach (Tim) Beck, and we're still in regular contact with Bo and Coach Beck trying to work through this whole thing.”

He said much of the rumblings that have surrounded his son’s situation have not been true. There were no thrown helmets and Moore did not walk out of practice, the father said.

“We were talking on the phone, and there were things he wasn’t happy about,” Brian Moore said. “Basically, it was, if you’re not happy then let’s get this sorted out before next season.”

The dad said Pelini has told the family the door is still open for the left tackle to return.

“Bo wanted him to stay. I said, ‘Let me have him just for the semester, let's give him a chance to catch his breath, so that if he comes back he's back 100 percent and not that he comes back and he's upset again,’” Moore said. “Because this has cropped up one other time and we talked him into staying.”

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound from Clearwater, Fla., was one of the prized recruits in Nebraska's 2011 recruiting class, and became the first true freshman to ever start on Nebraska's offensive line when he got started the first four games of last season.

After Monday’s practice, Husker offensive coordinator Tim Beck said Moore has “some things he needs to straighten out on his own. We're giving him his freedom to be able to do that."
