To register in California you have to provide a drivers license, California ID card, or social security card in order to not have to again show identification when you actually vote. If you register without any of that information you will be asked for ID when you show up at the polls

I would agree that California needs to change to something more like Florida or even Arizona. The counting DOES take far too long.

There is no valid reason.

Young people get carded to buy alcohol and smokes. They're carded to get into night clubs. You have to show valid ID to join the military. Valid id is required to drive a car, and get married. I just recently was required to show ID at my doctor's office, and also when I filled my prescription at the drug store. I had to show ID when I went to the ER recently. My employer required me to give them my DL so it could be copied, and placed in my work file.

All of these are valid reasons to show ID.

The reason why some democrats don't want a voter ID requirement, is so that they can vote multiple times under different names. All those who enter illegally can vote under the democrats rules. The Haitian criminal that was shown on the evening news lately could have voted under Democrat rules in some states. Think about that one.

And all forms of ID you mention are given to the illegals when they apply for welfare. NONE OF THEM REQUIRE AMERICAN CITIZENSHIP. California doesn't care at all who votes, no matter what the SOS says.

What is needed nationally is a ID card with biometrics and photo ID. Prove you are a citizen, prove you are 18, and get your card. It should use retina scans or fingerprints as part of the card. Then let AI determine if the person presenting the card is the same person who applied and received the card.
