The birthright citizenship won't stand. But, my guess it's that it's way closer to the center of American politics than The Chairman's god-forsaken EOs that totally gutted the concept of a border.

Thats possible re: public opinion. But also, no, it will not stand. Other than Thomas I don't see much appetite for overturning a 125+ year old opinion. And even before the 14th Amendment there is evidence of birthright citizenship being assumed in the USA. You can end it, but not through executive order.

Oh, they're fucked. And I don't blame them. This isn't Florida getting hit by a hurricane or California dealing with wildfires or Buffalo dealing with a blizzard. Those are all entirely predictable events that merit government spending in preparation for those things.

There is not earthly way the State of Louisiana should spend money on pre-emptively preparing for a fucking blizzard.

Didn't realize the South was getting hit by a freak storm. There's a blizzard warning for the Texas-Louisiana coast east of Houston. New Orleans could beat its daily snow record. Winter storm warnings for the entire Florida panhandle, Mobile, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, and the Outer Banks.
