  • Dems have no right to even talk about pardons. Biden set the standard. Anyone else who follows are only travelling down the road that he built.

Those fuckers should rot in jail.

If it was an 'insurrection" it was the worst planned, worst executed, and most overhyped insurrection in the world's history of insurrections.

And everyone who thinks it was an insurrection had no problem with the burning cities across the country during 'mostly peaceful protests'.

That's old news. Its over, and those accused and convicted will rightly be pardoned. Democrats have written the rules regarding pardons.

                  • I guess its about time that Coach Third Base did something with all that talent he's had over the last 7-8 years. Probly should have had multiple nattys by now. But at least he got one....

So what's the over/under on when CRD gets fired? Today? Tomorrow? Next week?

I hope he has another job lined up ... just for the sake of his family.

                    • Didn't realize the South was getting hit by a freak storm. There's a blizzard warning for the Texas-Louisiana coast east of Houston. New Orleans could beat its daily snow record. Winter storm warnings for the entire Florida panhandle, Mobile, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, and the Outer Banks.

                      • Trump's executive order "ending" birthright citizenship has already been challenged in court and doesn't have good odds of surviving. It goes farther than expected, saying that even a child born of immigrants legally in the United States is NOT a citizen by birth. Under this order Kamala Harris herself would not have been a US Citizen.

                        • Can someone make a case for releasing rioters that violently assaulted police without referring to either Joe Biden or BLM as justification for doing so? Let me hear your best efforts.

Trump's been promising to release even the most violent J6 rioters for years. His apologists and propogandists have insisted he didn't mean the violent ones, but here we are. And instead of criticizing Trump even mildly, most of you are saying Biden's 100% to blame.

                          • I wonder -- if January 6 was an insurrection, how many of these defendants were charged under 18 USC 2383 which makes the following a crime:

"Whoever incites, sets on foot, assists, or engages in any rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof, or gives aid or comfort thereto, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States."
You see, we actually have laws that define insurrection and treason and sedition. And we all know what a "Heil Hitler" salute is. People who ignore facts and reality have no credibility and aren't to be taken serious in the least.

If you actually assaulted a police officer with at least some intent then your sentence should be in line with the going rate. I doubt the going rate is 15 years, but who knows. For those that, say, brushed against a police officer as the crowd went through the capital, then yeah, I can. For those that were shoving police out of the way, no. My guess is that the latter is a handful.

As for "generally" violent -- well, if you've been convicted of violent crimes and committed another violent crime -- and, again, the facts matter -- I'd want to see that. But, of the "general" violence is non-convicted crimes, then, no.

Again, my guess is that there are a handful of people who absolutely shouldn't be pardoned. And I'm certain that DJT isn't looking too close at the facts of each individual.

                              • The birthright citizenship won't stand. But, my guess it's that it's way closer to the center of American politics than The Chairman's god-forsaken EOs that totally gutted the concept of a border.
