The greatest economy in global history begins in just 10 days! Your auto insurance will be cut in HALF! Just watch!
"Stop listening to what Trump says, DSL. Pay attention to what he MEANS. Clearly what he meant when he said he'd cut your insurance in half is that your insurance will go up. And Trump delivered once again! Promise KEPT!"
Thank God for all those great new Govt jobs...
Meanwhile, The stock market dives and inflation won't stop.

But so are barrier islands on the Gulf and Atlantic and we do it anyways, so....

It just never ends. Ever.
I turned on the TV this evening. I watched a few minutes of MSNBC because I wanted to know what progressives are talking about.
The subject? Climate change.
Progressives have taken the complex entirety of the California fires and reduced it to: Climate change.
Their message is clear: We have to pay more taxes—and grant to government more control over our lives—or else climate change will fuel more fires like the fires now scorching Los Angeles.
It is such mindless propaganda, it’s hard to imagine *anyone* gullible enough to buy it.
Many things about the California fires have been known for a long time, and have nothing to do with climate change.
Santa Ana winds are neither new nor due to climate change.
California is a desert. It’s dry. That’s not due to climate change.
Combine wind, fire, and dry conditions, and the results are terrible destructive fires… that have nothing to do with climate change.
Then, turn your attention to the progressive political class—the very people MSNBC talking heads want to have MORE power. Who in their right mind trusts these corrupt idiots to solve any problem connected with climate change?
They cannot fix a pothole! Or run a school. They’re going to manage the global climate???
The progressive political class has known for a long time that cities in the California desert are at risk for devastating fires. They chose to prioritize hiring DEI candidates rather than storing water. So now, when a lesbian fire chief opens a fire hydrant, no water comes out. And that problem has NOTHING to do with climate change!
Where are the reservoirs? Where is the water that should be in the reservoirs?
When progressive activists prevent responsible forest management and fire mitigation, and the results include more catastrophic wildfires, that is not a problem of climate change. That’s a problem of foolish progressive activism transformed into public policy.
I would like to think something as terrible as these California fires would cause progressives to set aside their lunacy and focus on reality. But, no. They’re gathering in the MSNBC studio, right now, to talk about the only subject that comes to their mind as they watch Los Angeles burn: Climate Change.
On and on it goes. It never ends.Shut the fuck up Donny!

I'm not entirely sure you understand how Citizens Insurance, the state backed insurer of "last resort," works. Citizens and the concept of the state backed insurance for catastrophic events (mainly Hurricanes) has been around since August of 2022. Other Wind Insurance companies popped up after Andrew in August of 1992 and were consolidated by legislative action under the Citizen's umbrella when it started issuing policies. FL may have been one of the first states to offer "last resort" wind damage coverage, but others have followed as fire and storm risk areas exist all over the US. Given what I think is your general politics on Free Shit and government hand-outs you probably think Citizens and the state of FL are doing that. Moreover they are doing it to cover the risks of stupid people building houses in flood and wind damage prone areas for free.
It does seem to do that but, let's be clear. Citizens only issues coverage for wind damage and how that is defined is pretty narrow - limiting wind damage claims to declared Hurricanes. Your Home Owner's policy covers the rest of claims outside of that. The Citizen's wind insurance policies are not free. Let me explain.
Typical property owners have 3 policies: Hurricane damage coverage, other damages (fire, etc.) coverage, and Federally backed Flood Insurance coverage. All Citizen's Wind coverage policies offer varying levels of deductibles (my policy is $6k) and provisions that allow Citizens to assess policy holders up to 15% of the total policy coverage (about $2500 for me), to cover reimbursements to claimants under strict rules on how and how much Citizens can charge policy holders.
If you want to live/build in parts of the state that are in State and Federal designated wind and flood damage risk, you can buy policies that cover all three risks. The result is a buyer or builder has a choice of paying for some or none at all coverage for known risks. None of this is cheap. FL has one of the highest property insurance costs in the country. Those considering buying or building in the counties with coastal exposure and already identified as high risk flood and wind damage areas to make a choice about insuring known risks and paying the cost of doing that. It's market economics not a government hand-out that encourages people to buy or build in FL.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
