  • Leaving Cartgenia Columbia for Panama city, Panama. One of the nice things about global travel is that you see there is stability and prosperity in a lot of places. You'd not believe that reading the news. It's true, cruises aren't sailing in the red sea or eastern Europe right now but you get my point. I haven't read a news feed for days. This is day 4 of an 11 night cruise in and out of the Psnama canal. Your perspective of the world changes for the better.

      • Fani Willis can continue her prosecution of the Trump RICO case in Georgia as long as Nathan Wade is kicked off the case.
Special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who had a relationship with Willis, resigned from the case hours after the decision.

“This finding is by no means an indication that the Court condones this tremendous lapse in judgment or the unprofessional manner of the District Attorney’s testimony during the evidentiary hearing. Rather, it is the undersigned’s opinion that Georgia law does not permit the finding of an actual conflict for simply making bad choices — even repeatedly — and it is the trial court’s duty to confine itself to the relevant issues and applicable law properly brought before it,” he added.

            • Not an unqualified win for anyone really. Wade will be kicked off the case and there's still an outside chance the Judge will allow an interlocutory appeal.

                      • Was in Panama yesterday transiting the Aqua Clara locks (the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal) and visiting Panama city and Colon. Didn't go all the way through the Canal. Turned around and are in Aruba today.

Panama is thriving since the US captured Noriega to return him to the US to face drug charges in '86. I was airborne in an EA6B supporting the operation jamming radars as F18s struck selected targets. By all accounts, this op was stunningly successful.

Lots of ex-pats live in Panama. A stable government and little crime because policing there isn't crippled by woke ideology. IOW, another example of people living in peace and stability because of effective government. That ideal is out there despite what the media wants
you to belive - a world ablaze in chaos, war and famine......or as in the US, a country whose bedrock ideals are being eroded by the crazy shit of woke illiberalism or, as an alternative, the crazy shit of far right Trumpisn.
