Leaving Cartgenia Columbia for Panama city, Panama. One of the nice things about global travel is that you see there is stability and prosperity in a lot of places. You'd not believe that reading the news. It's true, cruises aren't sailing in the red sea or eastern Europe right now but you get my point. I haven't read a news feed for days. This is day 4 of an 11 night cruise in and out of the Psnama canal. Your perspective of the world changes for the better.

Was in Panama yesterday transiting the Aqua Clara locks (the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal) and visiting Panama city and Colon. Didn't go all the way through the Canal. Turned around and are in Aruba today.
Panama is thriving since the US captured Noriega to return him to the US to face drug charges in '86. I was airborne in an EA6B supporting the operation jamming radars as F18s struck selected targets. By all accounts, this op was stunningly successful.
Lots of ex-pats live in Panama. A stable government and little crime because policing there isn't crippled by woke ideology. IOW, another example of people living in peace and stability because of effective government. That ideal is out there despite what the media wants
