      • Will Trump bring his really good lawyers from "I can't believe it's a law firm" this time? Sometimes I feel like he's not receiving the best representation.

        • It's the Supreme Court so he's kinda got to open up the wallet (well, his voters' wallets) and pay for someone credible. One of them is this dude, who boasts about being the guy who thought up the Texas law that allowed total randos to sue for damages against anyone performing an abortion.

          • Seems more likely than not it'll be a 9-0 decision against Colorado

            • I hope so. A split decision, especially among ideological lines, is suboptimal.

              • It won't be. Jackson was clearly skeptical a state can determine whether someone committed "insurrection". Or that the 14th Amendment applies to the Presidency. I'll be more interested in how broad or narrow they want to go.

Part of the reason there's so much illegal immigration is because we over-limit who can come in legally. I know you don't believe that, fine. But if you're Chinese and not some rich asshole who can buy your way in, there's a 20+ year waiting list. Because it's based on a quota developed 60 years ago. Shocking, just shocking, that a growing number of illegals are originating from China.

Anyways the system wasn't broken by just one party but yes, Biden can and should do more to return things to manageable levels. But there's ain't no way in hell I'm agreeing to HB-2 without getting things from our LEGAL immigration want list. Even the Senate bill said nothing about DACA or increasing high-skill immigration. Nothing. And we were willing to take it. Your leaders broke their word and walked away. Like they've always done for 15 years.
This is the purest nonsense I've read in a while. I favor UNLIMITED LEGAL immigration and I have since I began posting here. When we can vet those coming across our borders, and deny those who are not qualified, that is a whole different issue than just saying "It's is all part of the same system". The quota, developed years ago by Democrats, gives racial preference to certain groups.

We should be allowing legal immigration of those most likely to succeed in the US. This surely includes the Chinese and Indians. The LEGAL immigration system makes every legal immigrant have a sponsor who will be responsible if the legal immigrant becomes a burden on society. The illegal system incentivizes those who are crossing into the US in order to live off welfare. If NO illegals were allowed welfare, illegal immigration would be cut dramatically. This is a simple fix that American citizens would support. The 501(c)(3) tax benefit should be eliminated for those NGOs that are facilitating illegal immigration. They are all violating Title 8, U.S.C 1324(a) https://www.justice.gov/archives/jm/...1324a-offenses. Look it up. If I were Joe Biden, I'm not so sure I would want there to be no Presidential Immunity for acts as President.

Illegal immigration is all about power. There will soon be a push to give citizenship to illegals. It is already happening. Current estimates are that at least 10 million illegals have been allowed into the country in the last three years. Nobody knows. The assumption is that these illegals will vote for the Ds, as all welfare-dependent people do. Sen Chris Murphy, today, confirmed this plan. Citizenship for illegals will assure the one-party country that Dems seek. Frankly, all the Dems need to do at the Presidential level is to flip Texas and the party is over.

Holy shit! I just read the pertinent quotes from Hur. There’s really no way this can continue into November and beyond. If he wins re-election we’re almost 5 years away from the end of his 2nd term. I’d be surprised if he’s ALIVE in 5 years.
