Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Not sure what to make of Trump's poll performance right now other than that. The "refamiliarization" effect that you describe above could very well happen. The consequence-free orgasms voters could also turn out en masse -- that's a dynamic that wasn't there a few years ago, and the Rs are trying their hardest to gin up Democrat turnout right now.

Reliable voters skew Democrat now. Suburbanites, older folks, etc. A higher percentage of MAGA only votes every 4 years. It's why the Dems keep winning or over-performing in mid-terms and special elections. Pollsters know that and it's possible they are over-estimating MAGA turnout in 2024 but we'll see.

I believe we've discussed Detroit to Ohio before. Either we get the six counties of metro Detroit too (Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Monroe, Washtenaw, and St. Clair) or the deal's off.
That's 50% of the state's population and I believe more than 50% the state's GDP. Instantly make Ohio more liberal and the 5th largest state in the country. Michigan reduced to being the Alabama of the Great Lakes. Works for me.

Being that Kamala is an even more complete disaster than expected, that DEI stage is going to be open pretty soon.
