Yeah, we should have had more of a Zimbabwean pandemic response as Talent and I used to joke, but Monday Morning Quarterbacking Covid strategy isn’t really productive. It was an unprecedented world event and the Trump and Biden Admins were making it up as they went along and, absent hindsight, mistakes will be made.
500 billion was just lost like a fart in the wind to unemployment fraud for instance. The pandemic will set us and the world back for decades. Let it all sink in on how it started and why..
You’re celebrating nothing more than the can getting kicked down the road.
And a victory for the “middle” is simply a victory for whoever the far Left was 15 years ago.
I don't think allowing the government to borrow above the previously set debt limit is a victory at all. I agree with your kicking the can down the road analogy (see below).
First, it was a self made "crisis" and the outcome was entirely predictable. Second, the bill has a complex set of add-ons, I'd guess you'd call them, that were sweeteners for potential hold-outs - just enough of them and in the right categories to keep the Freedom Caucus and others along with recalcitrant Ds that whined about Biden giving away too much in line with achieving the Speaker's objective.
Theater.
The President going on TV last night at prime time from the oval office to itemize how wonderful his administration has been in the face of the previous Trump administration's spending, made me want to vomit. Grand standing when accountability for this country's immense debt will happen sooner rather than later in a predictable outcome when one spends more than one earns. This entire "crisis" was completely avoidable save the stupid law that puts this unnecessary BS in motion every year (except 2024 - clever) allowing for arm twisting by supporters of ridiculous shit that is expensive and would never become law on its own merits.
The worst offense by Biden was that he preempted 15 minutes of Wheel of Fortune.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Today, I have a choice with three different friend groups. They all know each other, but like a Venn diagram, few in each group are friends with the others in the other groups.
Group 1: 4th person in a golf outing. Complication: tee time is 2pm and it will be 91F. I’m easily the best golfer and these guys will not gamble, the whole event will be them asking for advice. Good guys, though.
Group 2: Day drinking at a bar and then walking over to the theater to see Guardians. Complication: they’re all power drinkers and Guardians is 3 hours long. Massive hangovers and missing large swaths of the movie because of going to the bathroom. Did I mention hangover in the morning?
Group 3: Head to Tuscaloosa for Game 2 of the NCAA baseball regional. Complication: Traffic, 91F temps, and shitty seats.
Or just stay at home and try to be productive with some projects?
Help me Obi Wan Kenobis. You’re my only hope.

Mr. Sandbag alluded to in his show last night...that the rich need to pay their fair share...well a good start would be for the Biden Family Crime Syndicate to pay taxes on all the bribe monies they received...what a hypocritical lying piece of mother fucking shit...the Top 1% of taxpayers pay nearly half of all taxes...and 50% of all "taxpayers" pay no federal income tax. The most disingenuous argument the left has continued to bald face lie about for decades.
AA, power drinking in an air conditioned setting is the most sensible option.
The thing is, Bocephus (don’t even know if you know who that is) was right. As you get older, “the hangovers hurt more than they used to.”
I used to be able to power through 10 or 12 hours at work with a hangover with nothing more than aspirin, coffee, and breakfast foods as a remedy. Now, work isn’t a concern, but 48 hours of stomach issues and a pounding head has me hesitant.
Also, preemptively addressing Wiz, yes, maybe I am becoming a puss.
