  • Kentucky FFS voted down an anti-abortion Constitutional Amendment. Kentucky! Could it be more obvious that it’s a losing issue? JFC

    • 1) Well his staffers are already putting out statements that this election "vindicates" the Chairman so sadly, he's more likely to run now

      2) Trump's ego will never allow him to walk away. Plus the dumbass probably thinks running for office insulates him from the legal hell he's in

      3) If Biden runs he's less likely to face a challenger now, especially if there's a sense DeSantis is going to beat Trump. Anyone young thinking about running should let the old man take the punch from DeSantis and think about 2028.

My biggest disappointments are here in Michigan. We had a chance to get rid of a self serving egotistical idiot, only to watch the state totally forget what she's done over the last two years. All Michigan people need to do is go out and drive down the street, and see all the businesses that were here in 2019, that are not operating today. That is Gretch's legacy, and Michigan voters obviously don't care. Every community in Michigan has been affected by her selfishness, but yet she's 'rewarded' with another term. I get it that Tudor Dixon was a so-called 'weak' candidate, but she would have been light years better in the governors mansion than Gretch.

As I said last night, thank goodness for term limits. She's gone for sure in 2026. Its going to be a long four years for Michiganders.
True. But it isn't going to matter in 2026. The Parasite Class has taken control of Michigan.

We now have abortion on demand and have done away with voter ID. No coming back from that.

        • Exit polls seem to support the idea that abortion wasn't THE issue but played a bigger role than pre-election polls were indicating.

There was a theory going into the election touted by some that voters in NY or California, where abortion was in no real danger of being criminalized, would seem a very distant concern and therefore wouldn't be much of a factor, but in close states like PA or Wisconsin women might feel differently about voting for a Republican who was promising a near total ban.

Yeah. I'm probably at about 75% re Biden being the candidate in 2024 and about 50/50 on the Rs.

            • 1) THE_WIZARD_ was wrong about the Red.Wave.Bloodbath. Period. Pains me to say it. Last night was like a Bammer fan watching the UAT-UTA shitfest in Austin...should have been a blowout but hang on for a nailbiter. Looks like the Senate is at least staying 50/50 but at least we'll have the House. Barely.

              2) 2024 SHOULD be a bigger night for R's given the Senate landscape for then.

              3) Pennsylvania has elected a retard over a retard. Not really suprising. From the state that brought us JoePa and Sandusky...

              4) The gubernatorial races give us some hope.

              5) At least Nebraska is still red...although the retards here did approve a statewide minimum wage increase to $15. Fucking morons.

              6) The worst thing about last night...other than me munching on crow...is that Biden will view this as a Dem mandate...which of course is ludicrous...but...he is The Chairman after all...heh. The abortion issue was a much bigger factor than I anticipated.

              7) Trump needs to GTFO, ESAD and STFU...simultaneously. He is a fucking cancer of the R party. DeSantis is the stud and has proven it. End of fucking story.

              8) I'm moving to Florida. Fuck this shit.
              Shut the fuck up Donny!

                Yep.

And I misunderstood the vote results from the Legislature. Gretch now has a totally free hand to do whatever she wants in Michigan. Both the Senate and House have gone D. The Senate will have Gilchrist (lol) as the 'tiebreaker' just like his pal Giggles.

And she already had control of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Add $.45 (at least) to whatever the gas prices are today. She's going to get her much desired gas tax. Its $4.29 in Shiawassee County before her tax.

And I wonder how many of those who voted for the abortion amendment realized that this was a vote for totally unrestricted abortions. All the way up to the point of birth. No restrictions, no nothing. Abortion from conception to birth. Pre born humans in Michigan are like a paper towel. Completely disposable.

                Pop the champaign corks.

                • I feel the need to make a correction. The Michigan trifecta was not due to a Dem gerrymander, in fact it's the opposite. The ballot initiative passed before the 2020 redistricting was for an independent nonpartisan commission to draw the lines. When that commission redistricted the state it corrected the GOP's longtime gerrymander. All one has to do is look at the maps. It made a a lot of the state districts competitive for the first time that I can remember and it was evident on TV. You would rarely see state level house and senate seats advertised on TV. This year it was constant, to the point where you knew who was running for the races.

                    • With The Party now in control of every major office in Michigan, lets see things get better.

                      Waiting.

Gennifer Grandholm once promised that we were going to be "blown away" by all the wonderful things she was about to do.

                      Never happened.

                      Waiting.

                      • One thing I'm even more certain of is that the GOP would have been much better off if Trump simply conceded once Pennsylvania was called for Biden. All this nonsense has been a millstone for you fellas. It was a total losing issue. Trump himself would have been better off for 2024 if he conceded and said see you in 2024.

You might have had a red wave.

                          • 2024 is so far from now, but *IF* this election produces DeSantis vs The Chairman in 2024, then 2022 will go down as one of the largest pyrhhic victories in the history of elections.

If it turns out to be DJT vs The Chairman then I'll officially give the fuck up on US elections until the primary system is completely undone and we get back to party bosses reigning in the crazy and good ol' fashioned patronage and machine politics.

                            • Another random thought but I'd like to eventually see a good write-up about turnout.

It's true that Trump brought a lot of new people into the Republican fold but I suspect this will be the second set of midterms that show that many of that group will only turn out when Trump is on the ballot. Meanwhile Trump utterly alienates suburban women who are among the most reliable group of voters of all.
