Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season

Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Not usually but there have been a few. What's important though is that at least you're exposed to news and analysis in a place where you probably spend 99% of your time, if your relentless posting that have but 4 letters - STFU - are an indicator of that. In this way you're raising your IQ from the low 60s marginally into the low 70s.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • Judge O’Connor strikes again! Informative thread on conservatives’ favorite district judge

              • O'Conner is virtue signaling in large part toTexans holding strong religious beliefs. No abortions, no birth control, no protection for homosexuals who engage in high risk sexual behaviors. All regardless of the health benefits to the public.

I may be opposed to such ruling on behalf of the religious right but the courts have generally upheld similar rulings, e.g., the same sex partners wedding cake case. The involved baker's right to refuse to make it was upheld under 1A.

Libs can scoff but it will be to no avail.

                • The conference representing all 50 Chief Justices from each state supreme court writes an amicus curiae brief to say the US Supreme Court should strike down the argument being made by North Carolina Republicans that state legislatures have total and unchallenged authority to run elections and gerrymander districts. (This is the "independent state legislature" doctrine that conservative activists have been pushing hard recently). The brief claims to not take a side but its first sentence is to assert that courts absolutely have a right to rule on redistricting cases.

Not clear if all 50 Chief Justices signed on to this but the brief states that it was approved by a committee comprising the Chief Justices from Kentucky, Delaware, Indiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Texas, and Utah. Hardly a super liberal bunch.
