None of the guys tried for plotting to kidnap Whitmer were convicted. Two were acquitted and two were declared mistrials.

Too bad that the guys who were acquitted were held in prison for TWO YEARS. You know… on account of them being too dangerous to society even though a jury of their peers concluded they committed no crimes.

The 5pm CTR report was just released. I'll summarize:

• Russians are gone from NE Ukrainian cities that they tried to but never controlled and are in retreat - you can't desribe it any other way.
• Ukrainian General Staff reports that 80% of the soldiers involved in a single unspecified unit, previously involved in combat operations, are refusing orders to return to the front.
• Detailed reports from the CTR that I won't post here indicate that Ukrainian forces are still holding key terrain and facilities (port and an industrial plant) in Mariupol with 3000 soldiers per intercepted Russian reports.
• Ukrainian forces are reportedly pushing back previously occupied Russian defensive postilions in Kherson threatening Russian control of the city.
• Also reported today from another source, Slovakia is sending S300 Air Defense systems to Ukraine. These are late soviet era air defense equipment mounted on trucks for easy mobility. This has been in the works for a couple of weeks but Slovakia wanted suitable replacements - the US provided and will deploy Patriot Systems to Slovakia.

In summary Putin needs to hope the "regrouping" of the Russian Army is going through right now in preparation for a break through offensive in Donbas will get him an actual victory. So far, despite Russian propaganda being spread at home of such victories, other sources inside Ukraine say none of them are happening. Ukrainian regular and civil defense units are having far more success beating back the orcs than the orcs are having success overrunning anything. This despite a huge advantage in armor and artillery.

Ukrainians just want it more than the Russians want it and it looks like a lot of Russian soldiers don't want any part of this. ...... for Mike its a lot like Denver beating M in hockey. Well, not exactly but you get my point.
