  • Detroit decriminalizes magic mushrooms. This should give rise to yet another specialty pizzeria franchise....

    • Kevin McCarthy urged his colleagues to not attack any Republicans who voted for the Infrastructure bill.

Well that surely ain't happening as there's a barrage attacking the 13 who voted "aye". MTG led the way by posting all their names and phone numbers almost immediately after the vote last night, and urged people to call and give these communist traitors a piece of their mind.

Most of the Republicans against the bill aren't really against the contents of the bill so much as they're against giving Biden anything resembling a "win".

Anyways, not like Anthony Gozanlez and Adam Kinzinger give a fuck anymore what the moronic Trumper wing of the party thinks or wants.

      • DSL: Clearly you have received today's talking points from the DNC, but let me begin a list of things that the "infrastructure" bill contains, the most important of which is that it only contains $ 110 B for actual infrastructure.
        • Defines “gender identity” as a protected class.
        • Doles out “digital equity” grants partly based on racial or ethnic minority status.
        • State-mandated carbon reduction program
        • Contains funding for “zero-emission vehicles”
        • Addresses “over-the-road bus tolling equity”
        • Contains the word “equity” 64 times
        • Provides roughly $2.5 billion to help the U.S. government expand the border processing stations used by migrants from poor Central American nations and other regions around the world.
This bill is a progressive wish list with 90% of the money going to green new deal and cultural ideas that were rejected last Tuesday. Most of the R yes votes were from east coast states who reap the benefits of this "free shit" bill. Rs are the stupid party, once again.

        • If it had gone straight to a House vote after getting passed in the Senate with 19 Republican votes, 30+ probably would have voted for it. But the progs stupidly delaying it gave the MAGA crowd time to lobby against.

          • James O’Keefe had his home raided by the FBI this morning. Probably heard other employees at Project Veritas got raided two days ago. It’s related to the diary of Ashley Biden which was stolen from her home in 2020. Pages from the diary appeared on a website owned by someone connected to O’Keefe I believe.

And fwiw this federal investigation started during the Trump presidency.

            • If Keefe ever so much as unlawfully removes the tag from his mattresses he’s going to prison for 50 years.

Under no circumstances does The Left tolerate dissent.

The Left eventually gets everything that they want. They have mastered the art of constantly one upping their kookery to make yesterday’s kookery look sane.

                • If he or a friend published stolen material, I have no problem with that. Ain’t illegal. Depending on what the contents are it could be pretty unethical if there’s nothing really newsworthy. I suspect there could be reason to believe a Veritas employee went a little too far and was involved in burglary.

Would that really be surprising if Veritas pushed the line? They once hired an actress to approach the Post and ask for a bribe in exchange for accusing Roy Moore of pedophilia (The gotcha scheme failed miserably)

                  • Raiding multiple homes over a stolen diary. Not drugs. Not wepons. Not child porn. A diary. And I’d literally bet my life that there’s not a shred of evidence directly tying O’Keefe to the crime or even prior knowledge of it.

it’s a blatantly obvious fishing expedition to find something new that can be used against him since he’s a very effective dissident journalist.

There possibly is evidence. I wouldn’t put it past them. As Geezer likes to say, if you’re a stupid or dumb person, the Republican Party is your thing
