Yep. You can spot a disingenuous argument when they compare the % of a demo in jail or arrested for a particular offense to the % of the population comprised of that demo. That assumes everyone commits crime at exactly the same rate. When they site the statistic that blacks represent 82% of the people in Ingram County jail for felony firearms offenses but they only comprise 12% of the population, the conclusion to be drawn isn’t that it is a result of systemic racism. The correct question to ask is why the hell is one particular demo struggling so mightily with following the law? Address the root causes of that question and you might actually begin to make a positive difference.

That's the 900 lb elephant in the room that everyone willingly ignores. The answer is too 'racist'. Its the same reason that particular demographic thinks its acceptable to loot and burn the local Target, CVS or Mom and Pop grocery, "because they have insurance". Forget the fact that it is morally wrong to be a thief, and steal things that belong to others.
