"The LaFayette Escadrille" by Herbert Mason Jr. I have never before read a niche military history that I could not put down. Though I was gifted this book, I sought out and purchased an autographed copy for my library. It's that good if you have an interest in early or military aviation. A respected work on the subject matter.

Thriftbooks, Biblio.com and AbeBooks all have copies for less than $6 hardcover.

There’s not a shred of actual evidence that any voters have actually been stopped from voting because they were unable to comply with easy requirements. Everyone who wants to vote, does. Full stop.

In contrast, there was gads of evidence of this happening during actual Jim Crow.

My mother-in- would not have been able to vote if she had not had a lot of help from her children. It shouldn't be that way.

It is a lot like the argument for getting rid of social security. Most of us posting here would do better investing by ourselves and don't need the help, but that is not who it was designed for.
