2700+ deaths reported today, the 2nd worst day of the entire pandemic (May 7th was the worst single day but past the spring peak). It's very possible that this is the result of a lot of catching up from the holiday weekend, when reporting was significantly down. There are some Midwest states like North Dakota and Wisconsin where things finally seem like they may be getting better. By next Monday we'll have a better idea when the 7-day averages move beyond Thanksgiving weekend.
