That’s a heartbreaking story that reveals the goodness in people.
In other news, Joe Biden broke his foot playing with his dogs. He’ll be in a walking boot for several weeks. In a slightly vomitous move, Neera Tanden will be the the new director of OMB. Ugh. Welp, had to figure there’d be some woke lefties appointed to key positions. Just need Georgia to hold the line until reinforcements come in 2022.

I'd love to see a betting market for "Who will be the US President in 2023?". I'm guessing that the money would go overwhelmingly on Kamala Harris.

I don't see any valid successors to Trumpism in the Republican party right now. There are a few governors showing some promise (e.g. Ron Desantis) but they've got a long way to go.Last edited by Hannibal; November 30, 2020, 05:30 AM.

The woke bullshit is very unpopular - True. But its the Right wing media that makes it seem far more widespread and effective than it is. Scare their soft of mind followers seems to be the intent.
It takes a candidate with balls to call it out and mobilize a base to fight back against it. - No it doesn't. Trump is simply an agent of hate and division, and it takes no courage to be an instrument of needless division.
Republicans shouldn't have thrown him under the bus, despite all of his flaws. Trump's cowardly enablers and sychophants have done nothing but suck his cock for 3 1/2 years. The Cult of Trump has NEVER thrown him under the bus.
Standing up against anti-male rhetoric and anti-white racism is like poking a massive hornet's nest. Perhaps to a Klansman or a Proud Boi. As a white male who consumes a lot of media, I can safely say that statement is nonsense except to paranoid, professional victims. Not saying the rhetoric or racism doesn't exist, it does, probably with the same intensity and pervasiveness as anti-female rhetoric and anti-minority racism.
Calling out violent Left Wing hate groups like Black Lives Matter takes a shitton of guts. No it doesn't. Nor does it take a shitton of guts to call out violent rightwing hate groups burning cities in false flag attacks.
Left's control of social media will not make it any easier. Oooo, not a leftist, but I'd sure like an associate membership to "the Left". Where do I sign up? I want to control social media. I want to control the University scene. Where do I get these magical powers? Since social media declines to propagate hate speech for stupid people, it must be "censorship" and is against "the Right".
To make matters worse, Corporate America has been fully compromised too, so people are constantly getting brainwashed at work. If anything, it's riskier than it ever has been to be a vocal Right Winger That is one of the funniest things you've ever written. Let's see - Universities are socialist conversion therapy, social media is run by the "left" and is against "the right", any group that doesn't lick Trump's ass is a "violent left wing hate group", and poor white males are picked on by the commie public. Nope, no paranoia there.
I don't see any valid successors to Trumpism in the Republican party right now. Thank God for small favors. Trumpism, the malignant colon cancer of conservatism, is about to be surgically removed from the White House. The same should be done to the Republican Party. Right now the GOP is a Trump Cult with absolutely no regard to truth, the Constitution, or even America in general. It is the blind adoration and obedience to Trump that enables liberal policies that are the reaction to Trump's idiocies. The sooner the GOP sheds its mindless devotion to it's worshipped Chosen One, the better off America will be, politically at least.“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.” - Groucho Marx

Jon -- I'm happy for you that you are not having the same experiences as me and most other people like me. I really am. Congratulations. You have successfully avoided the consequences of your voting patterns. Your grandchildren might not be so lucky though. I hope that you have saved enough money to pass along to your progeny so that they can buy themselves a seat on the economic lifeboat in the future.
If I remember correctly, you work for a relatively small private employer, yes? If you worked for a large publicly held corporation, you would see it differently. Woke nonsense permeates all of big corporate culture now. Big Oil, Big Auto, Big Chemical, Big Tech -- they have all transformed into academia. You should see the propaganda that gets shoved down our throats here, and I work for a company where probably 2/3 of the people still vote Republican.

If she's hated on the left and the right then it doesn't seem like she'll get approved. But, of course, that'll just mean Rs RACIST! Rs SEXIST!Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

Trump questions why Governor Kemp isn't using his "emergency powers" to overrule the Secretary of State and declare Trump the winner unless all signatures on envelopes can be matched up to ballots...or something. I'm not sure what he wants to see happen.
Yesterday he said Kemp was a total disgrace and that he [Trump] was ashamed to have endorsed him.
I'm not sure GA Republicans actually want PDJT to visit at this point.
