        • Biden's a lying piece of shit, too. But, PDJT set that particular bar pretty high. So, he's only 2nd in this particular race. Maybe 3rd if you throw Harris into the equation.

          • Meanwhile, back to Covid-19.

Spain, France, Germany, the UK, Italy, and Belgium now all have daily case rates that, on a per capita basis, are about equal to or exceed the worst per capital daily case rate in the United States. So much for that theory that if we had just all worn our masks on day 1 and taken the shutdown seriously, we would have it eradicated by now.

Even the most ardent supporters of mask mandates don't claim that masks are perfectly effective at stopping the spread. Good luck shutting down the virus and not the economy, Joe.

Since you mentioned that, people might want an update on how well it's going in Sweden. They achieved herd immunity back in July as I recall.

UPDATE: They didn't. They have record number of cases just like the rest of Europe. And for the first time are pushing restrictions

Chinese bats would have been anyone else's ticket to a 75% approval rating and landslide re-election. An external crises is a Godsend usually for the guy in charge. Trump's got nobody but himself to blame for actually amping up his clownery during the crisis and making himself look worse.

                  • Every candidate on the ballot was a lying piece of shit. None of them can claim total innocence.

I think Trump could have won re-election easily by being a lot more like Obama. Not in ideology, but in his approach to the job. Obama didn't give a squat what his opposition felt about him. He was the president, and he did whatever he wanted to do, and he knew his supporters would be there to cover his back. He didn't have to lash out at anyone at all. Just wear the perpetual incumbent smirk, and go on about your business. Instead he played into his enemies' hands by constantly tweeting stupid stuff about stupid issues. The Dems led him around by the nose when they realized he would comment on the silliest of issues, when there was bigger fish to fry.

So now, Joe will be the figurehead President until Democrat senior leadership approaches him and tells him its time to go. Kamala will gleefully take over, and if you thought the Trump presidency was shallow and stupid, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait until Cory Booker and Beeto O'Rourke start writing gun legislation.

I never perceived Sweden as having found the magical approach to eradicating Covid-19 as much as having made their peace with the fact that you are going to have spread and deaths, so you might as well keep businesses and the economy open.

                        • +19 doesn't do it for Biden. That's 59-40. Let's say 60/40. With 60,000 votes, that 36-24 for a +12,000.

They need more. Roughly 65% or +30.

Oh, he totally did. There's no denying that one of his worst character flaws was fully showcased here.

If one was playing conspiracy games, it's on the level of handing Epstein a rope and telling him "you know what to do with this".

                            • The big thing for Georgia is Chatham county has 17k of those votes. It's not an Atlanta area county. Chatham (per CNN map) is currently 57.6 to 41 in favor of Biden. Not +60....
Though... as is the case with Arizona ... the question is, what type of votes are these? Mail in votes favor Biden.

I think the final margin in Georgia will be in the hundreds either way.

                              • Here in Michigan, you just have to love Wayne County voters.

They've complained for years that there is not enough minority representation in Lansing and Washington, yet on Election day they turned out in record numbers and voted for and elderly white man for President, and a middle aged white man for the US Senate. In Detroit city, they now have a white mayor, after decades of leadership from the likes of Kwame Kilpatrick and Coleman Young.

Any community that would give Kilpatrick and Young multiple terms in public office does not deserve to be taken seriously at election time.
