Is she the only “Republican” running? How in the everlasting fuck could they not find a better candidate than her? That’s west palm beach right?

Correct ...... she is challenging West Palm Beach D Congressman Louis Frankle. Described as a right wing R provocateur, she gets very little coverage in S. FL I don't think she's a nut job. She knows exactly what she is doing........like calling out Uber for preferring to hire Muslims or campaigning against leftist media bias. Her statements are highly provocative and that is her intent. She is routinely described and dismissed as a racist.

It does not surprise me that the papers in S. FL don't cover her. I don't agree directly with or the implications of what she is selling but that the mainstream press and social media can allow then wrap anti-american, anti-law and civil order speech as some kind of reasonable expression of oppression seems to be a bit disingenuous. Never mind that those same media outlets appear to think rioting and the destruction of property (see Chicago, Seattle, Minneapolis, Portland) is an acceptable form of protest against racial discrimination and police misconduct.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I noticed there's like 6 Republicans running. If SHE is the front-runner then I imagine all the rest are splitting the non-idiot vote.

                      • There has been some decent messaging coming out of Washington on vaccines. with Fauci being the chief spokesperson. Trump is staying quiet other than to say they're on track and then wrongly claim they will be approved and delivered by November. I think most people have figured out the president should be mostly ignored. Well, most sentient people at least.
                        • The vaccines are not intended to be 100% effective.
                        • They don't need to be to achieve control.
                        • The world is not going to eradicate SARS-CoV-2 like it has pretty much done for Measles (among others). Not right away anyway.
                        • Vaccines will bring the virus under control so it becomes epidemic like - probably seasonably - with mangeable, regional outbreaks the norm.
                        • At first, standard mitigation measures, will still be required. As the spread of the virus is reduced, these can be eased but not completely.
                        • The world and particularly the US is going to benefit from the increased awareness that disease spread can be significantly reduced with hand washing, distancing and masks.
On a related note, HHS Secretary Alex Azar traveled to Taiwan last week to discuss the pandemic with health ministers there. He praised Taiwan's response but pointed out their success rests with the natural advantage of the small, Island country they are where restricting both entry and citizen mobility can be effective as well as government mandated testing and tracking. Those advantages don't apply or, in the case of government mandated tracking, is contrary to American social norms.

The most important thing Azar said though was that Taiwan was open and transparent with their pandemic response unlike the Mainland Chinese who have a record of obfuscation and disinformation about SARS-CoV-2. Meanwhile, during Azar's visit, PRC fighters crossed into established Taiwanese air defense zones then promptly turned around when Taiwan's Air Force launched in response. Once again, I like these subtel overtures with Taiwan as a means of poking the Chinese in the eye. Fuck the PRC.

                        • I thought you'd talk about the Russia vaccine news.

Gottlieb talked about it on CNBC this morning and the impression I got is that Putin is spiking the football after what we'd call a fairly shitty Stage 1 trial. Several of our vaccines are further along and have been much more stringently vetted.

                          • Just in case there is any confusion as to what BLM means:

“That is reparations,” a BLM organizer said. “Anything they wanted to take, they can take it because these businesses have insurance"
                            and

Black Lives Matter Chicago issued a statement obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times that read, “The mayor clearly has not learned anything since May, and she would be wise to understand that the people will keep rising up until the [Chicago Police Department] is abolished and our Black communities are fully invested in,” the group said in a statement.
                            https://www.foxnews.com/us/black-liv...looting-unrest

The looting and rioting resulted because Police chased a 4-time felon, the felon fired shots at them and the police then shot him (non-fatally). And then they spread the lie that the felon was a child (as if it would matter). No word on whether they rioted when any number of children were shot over the past few months.

That's Joe Biden's America, folks. Or rather, that's the America of Joe Biden's Puppetteers

                            • Meanwhile in Seattle, their AA, female police chief resigns after city council cuts the police budget (by less than the 50% (lol) requested). https://komonews.com/news/local/chie...-approves-cuts

It' almost as if they actually mean defund and abolish the police.

                              • Meanwhile in Covid news, the US is clearly back on the downslope. Of course, I'm sure that's not being reported.

It is also definitive that deaths did not surge any real sense with the the significant surge in cases. Deaths remained HALF of what they were in April despite cases being 2.5X what they were in the same time frame.

So, it should be fucking clear to anyone that this thing is no where near as bad as both Italy and our NE indicated. It should be fucking clear that there's a very vulernable population and then the rest of us who can manage. But, we're stuck with Media hysteria until President Biden-Harris/Rice takes over. So no one is going to report that. They'll just focus on CASES! and shift from death to the great unknown (we just don't know the long-term impacts!!!).

Well, again, until President Biden-Harris/Rice takes over. Then we'll get a completely different perspective.
