Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

  • Rubio put out a confusing statement that seemed to say that what Trump did qualified as an impeachable offense but sometimes it's best for the country to not remove him anyways??
I didn't think it was confusing. In keeping with the tenuous "criminal trial" analogy, impeachable=indictable, guilty=removable.

    • Sturgeon says the hope is for another Scottish Independence referendum this year but it may have to wait till after the 2021 Scottish Parliament elections

Scotland's first minister says she still wants indyref2 this year - but acknowledges it may not come until at least 2021.

      • Yeah, that's gonna be interesting because there are a lot of "regions" that are semi-separatist. I'm not sure that it's in the EU's interest to start recognizing them.

        • This is a horrible look for the DNC. They're suddenly changing the rules in the middle of the race to eliminate the donor threshold for qualifying for debates. There's basically just one person benefiting from this change: Mike Bloomberg, who happens to also be a massive DNC donor. So he will almost certainly qualify for the debate in Nevada next month.

Someone asked Joe Biden last night what he thought about these changes and he basically had a puzzled, "wtf" kinda face and then just said "He's not even on the BALLOT in Nevada"

The only reason for this change is that the DNC is scared shitless that Bernie is going to be the nominee. And also there is talk that the super delegates will be able to vote in the first round (right now there is only about a half dozen super delegates talking "off the record")

            • This is a little bit surprising to me. Several of these countries had signaled they approved of the plan and no longer gave a flying fuck about the Palestinians.

22 countries of the Arab league unanimously reject the Trump Peace Plan

The Arab League has rejected a Middle East peace plan put forward by US President Donald Trump. It said the plan would not lead to a just deal for both sides.

The news about trying to block Bernie seems to be at least a little exaggerated. There's like over 400 members of the DNC and they're pointing out there's maybe a dozen or less who are talking about blocking Bernie no matter what you have to do.

I don't know. They changed the rules for Bloomberg (very much an establishment guy).

You have had President Obama signaling that he would speak out against Bernie if it looked like he could win the nomination. HRC is bringing out her axe to take out Bernie (not that it is working).

                  • Bloomberg helped them win a bunch of races in 2018 and has a giant sack of money to help again in 2020. That will always figure into the equation no matter what the insufferable Bernie Bros concoct.

That nonsense about Obama is true paranoia by a Bernie Bro, it was "news" broke by Charlie Gasparino, I am sure he has a pulse on Obama that nobody else has.

                      • Bloomberg has spent his campaign so far apologizing for his past sensible policies and LARP-ing as an uber woke Socialist.

                        • talent, you are right ...... again .......the only thing you are consistently wrong about around these parts are your osu football and now basketball predictions when it comes to the osu/M football game and any prediction about osu basketball and the NCAA Tournament. Well, in the later case, will be proven to be wrong.

                          Fuck-off.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
