I've seen a lot of people dunking on this piece, including lots of conservatives, because it's utter nonsense. But the two most glaring flaws in its argument, which (to be fair) are being repeated ad nauseum in the Trumposphere:

1) The 6th Amendment applies to criminal proceedings only. Impeachment is a political process.

2) Trump is not currently "on trial". That doesn't happen unless the House recommends he be impeached and everything is moved to the Senate. Even if you think he's entitled to the same 6th amendment protections a criminal would receive, that only comes at trial. Not during the investigatory phase. Criminals aren't notified by the police that they might be indicted soon and asked if they would like to come down to the precinct and confront the prosecution's witnesses before that happens.

Trump now claiming with zero evidence that the deposition transcripts have all been doctored. He's probably just doing his usual "I'm rubber, you're glue" tactic because the Zelensky call "transcript" is known to have been edited slightly. Not one Republican in those depositions has claimed the transcripts have been falsified and I believe the people that put them together are court reporters and not Democrat staff (not entirely sure on that however).

EDIT: Furthermore all witnesses are allowed to review and approve their transcripts before their release

Very interesting...the lawyer for John Bolton and Charles Kupperman opposes allowing Mick Mulvaney to join their existing lawsuit. Unlike the other two Mulvaney is a current official, has never been a nat security official, and has already publicly spoken about the Ukraine stuff. Question of immunity and privilege are prob more complicated for Mulvaney than the other two and their attorney may see attaching Mulvaney to them as slowing them down (my speculation)
