    • More tariffs after winning WTO case against Airbus. I heard this morning that Europe was planning to retaliate by using old WTO cases that they won against the US but never enforced.

                          • An international incident a'brewin'. Seems an unhappy former employee of a book publisher in Hungary took a few liberties before his resignation. A handy tourist phrase book for German speakers to Polish areas was given several modifications. What was listed as "Where is the closest subway?" was actually "May I fondle your genitals?" and similar translation errors. A recall has been initiated.

                            • Bipartisan group of Senators, including Rob Portman of Ohio and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, wrote a letter to the Ukrainian President in Feb. 2016 urging him to make "urgent reforms" in the Prosecutor's office because it was corrupt. This took place before Biden went over there and made his threat or whatever it was.

The idea that Prosecutor Shokin was some sort of great guy dedicated to stamping out corruption is a complete piece of Trump fan fiction. Republicans were calling for his ouster at the time.

Ron Johnson deserves some particular derision because he's demanding investigations into an action that he supported 3 year ago. Portman has not yet really gone hypocrite as far as I can tell.

A newly unearthed letter from 2016 shows that Republican senators pushed for reforms to Ukraine’s prosecutor general’s office and judiciary, echoing calls then-Vice President Joe Biden made at the time.

                              • Crash- Would you have a problem if Trump told China that he would forget & forgive all the IP they've stolen from us over the years if they open an investigation into Joe Biden?

Because he just told reporters that he thinks they should investigate Biden. Didn't mention a quid pro quo but just said it'd be a good idea for them to do it and he might bring it up with President Xi.

Repeated again that Ukraine ought to do so too.
