Just kidding...Trump was parroting a segment he saw on Fox & Friends which was a hit piece on Cummings.
Lots of Baltimore is pretty bad. But Cummings doesn't represent the entire city AND he represents a bunch of wealthy suburbs. The median household income in his district is above the national average and it's the second-wealthiest majority-black district in the country (MD-4 is #1). Just FWIW
All in all a stupid, ignorant, and insulting statement from the President. The weekends are when he posts most of his best gems, when his handlers aren't around.
EDIT: Honestly, for the generally detached voters who pay little attention to politics but show up at the polls, this sort of stupid shit probably hurts Trump more than anything Mueller has to say. I think they tend to vote on "impressions" and "likeability" as much as issues and Trump does himself few favors by insulting an entire city (arguably region, in this case).Last edited by Dr. Strangelove; July 27, 2019, 09:17 AM.

From the same Fox News poll last week that had Trump with a 46% approval rating. On page 14 of the pdf
"DO you think Trump's 'go back' Tweets were acceptable or did they cross a line?"
27% said acceptable, 63% said they crossed a line
"Do you think Trump respects racial minorities?"
34% said Yes. 57% said no. That's down from August of 2017, right after Charlottesville
Do you think it's "racist" to tell a non-white person to go back to "their country" if they complain about America?
56% said yes, 23 % said no.
