In any event, the Progressive Socialist "economic" plans will eventually get reviewed and scored by the CBO and JCT (and probably others). Given how much they'll have to raise tax rates I'd be shocked if those groups weren't projecting 7-10% growth.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Fantastic Op-Ed from a typical "Justice" "Democrat" -- https://www.azcentral.com/story/opin...ce/2683881002/
Photo of soot-covered coal-miners looks like white dudes in blackface, so I'm offended. Take it down!Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

it's not about what the numbers show to socialists (because they don't), it's about fairness
Dennis Prager describes "Leftists" as being more interested in fairness than liberty, health, property rights. Obama outs himself as a classic leftist here. ...

So much encapsulated in this sentence: "Ms Ocasio-Cortez's populist ideas expose the inadequacy of mainstream policy responses to big problems". If this version of neoliberalism is to survive, it will have The Economist to first heed and then later to thank. I don't know another source more thoughtful and clear about what neoliberalism is and what is good about it.

Biden still crushing it in exceedingly early D polls: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/ep...tion-6730.html
All name value. Of some note, Harris popped up to 10, almost on par with the Progressive Socialist Godfather. And Gillibrand is stuck in the mud. Thank god.
In Michigan, PDJT gets scorched by Biden and Sanders, but is within striking distance of Harris and Warren. But, unfortunately for PDJT, he's almost at the point where M is lost with over 48% saying they are definitely voting for someone else. I guess he has a shot if there are two viable "someone elses" in the race, but that's about it.
I really can't imagine PDJT winning Wisconsin, Michigan or Pennsylvania in 2020. The Progressive Socialists would have to catastrophically overeach.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Remember the FoxConn megadeal touted by both Scott Walker and Trump? The state of Wisconsin was giving them billions in subsidies, tax credits, etc. in exchange for 13,000+ jobs?
They'll be lucky to have 1,000 jobs by 2020 now. And what jobs exist will be mainly scientists and engineers, not manufacturing jobs as originally promised.
Unclear if this was the real plan all along or if either tariffs or China's slowing economy are playing a role.

America's Sheriff, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, said that he's never seen such an overuse of force as the arrest of Roger Stone.
Here's a local news report from the time Sheriff Joe sent 40 SWAT officers, a bunch of armored vehicles, a bomb robot, AND Steven Seagal to raid a chicken farm in pursuit of breaking up a gamecock ring.
At the end Steven Seagal tried to get the guy they arrested to sign a release form so they could use the footage on his reality show. The suspect declined

Saw a rather intelligent argument on twitter about why at this stage in the tech cycle for LCD that was never going to happen in the first place. Call it a media failure -- lacked the ability to understand how to report on this, I guess. But, to be clear, its easy to make the case that you'd rather attract 1000 knowledge-economy jobs than 13,000 manufacturing ones.
I haven't looked, but also haven't seen reported whether the value of incentives rises or falls.
