  • I've seen condemnation statements attacking Russia from Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), James Lankford (R-OK), and even Tom Cotton (R-AR), although none of them mention Trump by name. They all say he's wrong on the basic facts without mentioning him personally.

These aren't guys that are going away after 2018 either. Not Flakes or Corkers.

Newt Gingrich (!) says Trump just made the biggest mistake of his presidency, for whatever that's worth.

    • For the record, yes the Thief who steals a running car deserves a conviction. This is not a fucking hard concept.

If you know or figure out someone else's password to an email account and you access their email, you are looking at a well deserved federal conviction. None of this is hard.

      • Republican Peter King, who represents Long Island, is also on the Intel Committee, and normally has Trump's back DOES criticize him by name

        • Trump is scheduled to meet with members of Congress tomorrow at 2 (I assume just Republicans). He'll undoubtedly crow about all he achieved on his world adventures.

          1) Will he take questions?

          2) Will anyone challenge him about Russia?

Heh heh. At least 6 of the 13 Republicans on the House Intel Committee have now put out statements criticizing Trump and standing behind the Intel community. King, Gowdy, Hurd, Elise Stefanik, Frank LoBiondo, and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen thus far.

The House Committee! Not the Senate! The crazy-ass Nunes Committee!

              • Democrats have their biggest lead on the Generic Ballot average since mid-March (D +8). That's without factoring in any of Trump's latest debacle. Even the two most Republican-friendly polls, Rasmussen and FoxNews, show Dems with an 8-point edge.

This tracks somewhat close to Trump's approval rating. In early June both Trump and generic R's were getting their best approval numbers, possibly thanks to the much-hyped North Korea deal. But as that drifts into distant memory and/or people begin to notice it produced little substance...the Dems have been making gains again. (Rasmussen's latest shows his approval at - 9)

                • Trump is being blackmailed into his puppet role. Notice that Putin in no way, shape or form answers "no". From the joint presser:

"Does the Russian government have any compromising material on President Trump or his family?" (It was the second of a two-part question, but Putin made sure to come back to it.)

"And now, to the compromising material," Putin said. "Yeah, I did hear these rumors that we allegedly collected compromising material on Mr. Trump when he was visiting Moscow. Well, distinguished colleague, let me tell you this: When President Trump was at Moscow back then, I didn't even know he was in Moscow. I treat President Trump with utmost respect, but back then when he was a private individual, a businessman, nobody informed me that he was in Moscow."

                  • I'll bet its money laundering. When Chump's casino swindles fell apart, he took, er sort-of-borrowed, a boatload of cash from the Russians. No secret there, but funny things happen behind the curtain when ANY billionaire is involved. Statute of limitations may have run out, but being blackmailed does not excuse current treason.

                        More reeeeeeeeesistance fan fiction

ABC reported in September 2016 that Trump has business interests in Russia, not that the Russian government paid him money.

But there was no collusion. Everybody knows it and I beat Hillary...Clinton by a wide margin. MAGA!

Maybe it would be easier if you provided a list of Republican Congressmen and Senators who have gone on the record to praise Trump for his performance.
