  • In Missouri fundraiser, Trump admits that "sometimes" he just makes stuff up. Washington Post obtained audio of the speech which was closed to the press.

    • Treasury Dept head Steve Mnunchin has announced that additional sanctions are being placed on Russia for it’s cyber meddling. Mnuchin did not give a time frame for those sanctions, but said he would sever the targets' access to the U.S. financial system. The new sanctions target Russian intelligence services - the Federal Security Service (FSB) and Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), plus six individuals working on behalf of the GRU.

No secret that I am highly critical of the current administration. But I ask this question in all seriousness. Does the Mnunchin announcement mean that we are currently (and knowingly) allowing the Russian intelligence and counter-intelligence services access to our financial system?!? WTF?

You are just now figuring this out? Most of what he says is hyperbole.

NO, he wasn't serious about a Space Force.

You would think the media and his detractors would have figured that out by now.

Punishment should fit the crime committed, imo.

                      • Oh ye of little patience. Mueller probably had little/no evidence to request the documents until recently as Chump's inner circle slowly flipped. As his cronies start talking, more avenues appear. Seems like it's new information leading to new requests. If Chump is half as innocent as he claims to be, the faster he gives documents, the sooner he gets his exoneration. The longer he stalls, the longer the investigation drags on. The time line is self inflicted, like most of Chump's blunders.

My suspicion is that Chump has had some shady real estate deals prior to even considering a run for the presidency. He's afraid they'll come to light and damage his brand. But its a good distraction/deflection to whine 'no collusion!"

"This thing will never end"? Two words - Ken Starr. Shoe's on the other foot so now you don't like it?

Mueller should take notes from your boy Kobach on how to run a top-notch investigation.

And the investigation has been shorter than the Benghazi investigation, the IRS investigation, Whitewater, "illegal unmasking", etc.

Bush 1 turned down an offer from the Turkish gov't years ago. They offered to take as many prisoners as we wanted to ship them if we paid $2500/yr each for upkeep. He turned it down, concerned about human rights violation accusations. Some bad guys deserve to spend what could be a very short life in a Turkish prison. But the worst of the worst shouldn't be allowed to waste perfectly breathable air.

Can't be pro life and pro death penalty. I think the state shouldn't have the power to execuite citizens. It's one of the things that make our country great, even the worst of the worst have rights. Also how we treat our accused makes us great. How easy would it be to develope a system of law where we take the accused out back and put them down like a dog? especially for the horiffic crimes.
