February's jobs report marks a turning point for the economy — employers are hiring at a rapid enough pace to bring the long-term unemployed off the sidelines.

    • just because if it doesn't involve stormy or collusion or jareds security clearance a few might not read it but the highlight:

"These numbers are remarkable," said Ward McCarthy, chief financial economist at Jefferies. "806,000 people came back into the labor force and 97 percent of them found jobs. If you want a job you can get one. This is about as much as you can expect. … We've waited 10 years for this, and here we are."
February's job growth was 50 percent more than expected by economists, and the unemployment rate was steady at 4.1 percent. Besides the stunning number of new jobs, economists pointed to the surprise jump in the labor participation rate of 0.3 percent to 63 percent, meaning slack is being eliminated

          • Big multinationals are paying significantly lower tax rates than before the 2008 financial crisis, according to Financial Times analysis.

Where the real story's at. https://www.ft.com/content/2b356956-...6-4a6390addb44. Politicians don't have the balls to tax their biggest donors at fair rates. Which, ultimately, is no surprise.

Re: collusion. I?ve tried to be clear that we don?t know what happened and that ?collusion? is a term with next to no legal meaning.

                              We know the following:
                              1. The Russians interfered in the election.

                              2. The purpose of this interference was to elect Trump. (Although I don?t know that we have definitive proof as to why)

                              3. The Trump campaign was aware that the Russians were trying to help them. (Although we don?t know if Donny knew.)

                              4. Trump?s long time buddy and political mentor, Roger Stone, was actively in contact with the Russian hackers and Wikileaks. (Although we don?t know exactly what was communicated, there is evidence he knew about the podesta emails before they were released publicly)

                              5. Donald was told that it was the opinion of the intelligence services that the email leaks were a Russian tool of interference, but he continued to use and promote that information. This made the interference more effective.

                              6. Donald and his administration refused to punish or condemn Russia for interfering in the election. He has refused to punish or condemn Russia for possibly using chemical weapons (or allowing chem weapons) in Syria. He has refused to punish or condemn Russia for killing someone in the UK. He has refused to punish or condemn Russia for violating sanctions on NoKo. Why he has refused to do these things is an open question. I personally am starting to think he?s just that easily manipulated by Putin, but it may be because he is taking orders.

There are ?innocent? explanations for these things, but there are also very bad explanations for these things. As I do not believe that Trump would see any problem in cheating to win, I don?t see any reason that we should be overly skeptical that some bad things may have happened. It will be interesting to see what Mueller eventually finds.

                              • Donnie Jr, Kushner, and Manafort met with Russian individuals (in Trump Tower) that Donnie Jr. had been told were from the Russian government and had dirt to spill on Clinton. That's not successful collusion, of course, but it's pretty demonstrable that the Trump campaign would have accepted help from Russian spies in order to win if the opportunity ever arose.

That incident alone justifies the investigation, IMO, but some here will disagree.
