Likely scenario of having more guns in the theater in Colorado.
Let's say there were about a half dozen Armed Citizen hopeful heroes sitting in the theater in Colorado. Here is the most likely scenario:
Gunman pops off tear gas and stands up an starts shooting. Panic ensues. Kapture1 realizes this is his chance to finally get to shoot somebody. Jumps up and tries to shoot armed gunman. Misses badly (because this ain't the shooting range at Billy Bob's Gun and Pawn) in the confusion and takes out two or three theater patrons before Armed Citizen #1 sees that some guy in the fornt of the theater as well as his accomplice in the back of the theater (Kapture1) is shooting people in the theater. #1 realizes that it is his chance to be a hero, jumps up and starts shooting at Kapture1. In the confusion he misses badly and takes out a few more theater patrons. About this time, Armed Citizen heroes #2, #4 #5 and #6 all realize this is their chance to be a hero. They jump up and start shooting, mostly at each other. Because of the tear gas and confusion, nobody knows who is shooting at who or why. About two dozen extra theater patrons are caught in the cross fire and get shot, as well as a couple of our Armed Citizen heroes. The original gunman sneaks out the back door and waits for the police in his car.
The cops show up and take out a couple more of our Armed Citizen Heroes because they are holding guns and there are bodies all over the place.
Police capture gunman, Armed Citizen Heroes' families sue the police.
Sane people shake their heads. Gun advocates still claim that we need more guns.
Yep. We need more guns.I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I am not a ban proponent at all.
We have plenty of those particular firearms. Our current in-hand supply can sate demand. Pretty much everyone who wants one already has one. No importation or new manufacture would not prevent access to purchase by a private citizen.
A buyback would be purely voluntary.
Trying to infer liability to sellers is bullshit. When they make Wick's Lumber liable for a 2x4 assault, let me know. Don't presume my opinions please.
Waiting period, you have a point. Perhaps PPO holders should be exempted.“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.” - Groucho Marx
