A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday found that 76 percent of Americans said the call for people to say “merry Christmas” instead of “happy holidays” is “made up for political purposes.”
I always liked Enberg. He called some of the earliest games I can remember. He was always on the Rose Bowl, it seemed, with the knucklehead Fearsome Foursome member turned Little House on the Prairie doucher. He always gave a nice call and even his trademark was mellow enough as to not get annoying or farcical (a little at the end).
RIP, kind sir.

Good article on steelworkers and the high expectations for Trump that are now more pessimistic. This isn't a problem of Trump's making but it's worth considering that he has possibly made things worse. By threatening to pass steel tariffs all throughout his campaign, foreign manufacturers (Not just the Chinese) are now racing to ship as much of their product into America as possible. Steel imports in 2017 were up 20% over 2016.

Roy Moore, it should be noted, has still not conceded. The State of Alabama has already announced the total number of Military and provisional ballots and even if Moore got 100% of those votes, he'd still be 15,000 votes short of winning. The election will likely be certified next week.

"We came here all the way from different parts of the country as part of our fellowship, and all of us pitched in to vote and canvas together, and we got our boy elected"?
