Tony Podesta stepping down from lobbying giant amid Mueller probe
Podesta announced his decision during a firm-wide meeting Monday morning and is alerting clients of his impending departure.

Not surprising considering Manafort worked closely with the Podesta Group during the time of the crimes he was just charged with...

The supervisor who communicated with GP about the Russians having Clinton emails is believed to be Sam Clovis, former talk show host who was high up in the Trump campaign and who is close to being appointed head of the USDA
Oh and he's previously said anyone white who's a progressive is a 'race traitor' (back in his talk radio days)
Sam Clovis, President Donald Trump’s nominee to be the Department of Agriculture’s chief scientist, maintained a now-defunct blog for years in which he accused progressives of “enslaving” minorities, called black leaders “race traders,” and labeled former President Barack Obama a “Maoist” with “communist” roots.

The charges against Manafort stem at least in part from documents found during the FBI raid of his home back in July (GP was arrested at the airport the very next day). The FBI found Ukrainian records and documents that Manafort had previously claimed didn't exist.
The indictment of Paul Manafort and his associate Richard Gates relies on records seized in the 'no-knock' search of Manafort's home in July. The records allegedly showed that Trump campaign officials Manafort and Gates had been directly involved in a lobbying campaign on behalf of the deposed pro-Russian president of Ukraine.

Lots of speculation that GP, as part of his plea, worked with the Mueller team secretly for months. Might've even worn a wire. Even people on Fox speculating this might've happened.
In other news...
Trump has hit a new low in the Gallup poll. Only 33% now approve of his performance. I'll have to check the archives, but I believe this is worse than Obama, Clinton, or Reagan ever had at any point in their presidency. He's reached it in Year One. With a good economy.
EDIT: Oh, and the poll was conducted before todayLast edited by Dr. Strangelove; October 30, 2017, 05:49 PM.

Citing polls didn't help drag Clinton across the finish line in 2016, I wouldn't count that helping the Democrats win in 2018 or 2020.

a) his party's success in elections
b) his party's willingness to come out and vote
Who the Dems run will always matter, but to say that having 33% APPROVAL, won't impact any elections is, well, optimistic.
And for the record, the people aren't being polled on whether they like him, they're being polled on whether they think he's doing a good job. That doesn't mean they won't find him the lesser evil, sure. It's STILL BADLast edited by Dr. Strangelove; October 30, 2017, 06:02 PM.

This is a shameful piece by FoxNews spit out in the first hours after the Manafort news. Total hit piece on the judges that'll be overseeing the Manafort trial. Very telling that no reporter wanted their name attached to this piece of trash. I'm surprised they didn't include the judges home addresses.
As much as Fox carries the Republican banner, the news side normally maintains certain standards. This is Breitbart level stuff.
