    • Buffoon-In-Chief tweets in response to NK's latest ICBM test.

"I am very disappointed in China. Our foolish past leaders have allowed them to make hundreds of billions of dollars a year in trade, yet they do NOTHING for us with North Korea, just talk. We will no longer allow this to continue. China could easily solve this problem!"

In the final test of an operational ABM defensive system, Obama utilized a kinetic misile interceptor to take down a NK ICBM test in 2012. The "bullet to bullet" system worked flawlessly, hitting the missile at an altitude of only 94 miles. Not only depriving the North Koreans of test data, it also sent a message to Russia and China that the US has the technology to defend itself by means other than a counter strike. Although highly classified, many details of the system have been deduced and published by independent media such as Aviation Week & Space Technology and National Defense Review.

Kim Jong Trump believes that nuclear weapons are the only path for regime survival. Those who gave up programs to international pressure (Khadaffi, Saddam Hussein) have experienced shortened lifespans. Donald J Un continues to operate in an toothless and unproductive manner in relation to this threat. Obviously China will do nothing to rein them in. Chump's response? Tweets. How about Russia? Chump's sugar daddy Putin has obviously instructed his American underling not to do anything.

The POSOTUS is a threat to the United States and needs to be removed from office as soon as possible.

      • The Scaramucci Tango

Walter Schaub, last week forced out as director of the Office of Government Ethics, has been replaced by Trump goo-gobbler David Apol. In what will be a telling indication of what ethics means to the current administration, Apol will decide upon a request by Scaramucci for a certificate of divestiture, which would allow him to avoid paying a huge capital-gains tax bill on the pending sale of his stake in SkyBridge Capital. Scaramucci has known since January he would have a position in the current administration, but put off the sale of assets as the market rose. Now that he is in place, he wants a COD predating his sale of assets. Whats gray about all of this is, the terms of the sale basically say, yeah you bought all my stuff as of this date and I will still gain all appreciation/dividends, but no money will exchange hands until I get my tax dodging COD.

I wonder how this will end. Good thing the Ethics watchog is involved....

              • Random note: The NYT and other media sources are constantly reporting on how Kushner/Ivanka feel about everything that's been going on. It should be patently obviously that they are the biggest 'leakers' in the government, and you can't really fire family.

                  • wonder what the difference is between us doing it to others and Russia doing it to us

Although it is undeniably true that the winner of Venezuela’s legislative elections last Sunday was the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), which sealed a solid and absolute majority in the new National Assembly, there was also another winner: US interference.

                      • Interesting.

Without fully understanding all the details of US involvement in the various programs the author lists, there was nothing covert, as I understand the level of US involvement. It seems the US is simply supporting various Venezuelan agencies that would favor outcomes in Venezuela that are consistent with US foreign policy objectives in South America.

The Russian stuff, if I understand it correctly, is in an entirely different ball-park. The allegations against the Putin regime involve covert hacking that to what extent it interfered with or influenced the outcome of the election remains unknown.

                        • I wouldn't get involved in the comparison. The US has, I'm quite sure, not only meddled in foreign elections, but outright deposed and installed rulers.

From the eyes of some neutral observer it's all fair or whatever. We're not neutral. We ARE the US. If some dipshit country bombs NYC we don't sit around and say, eh, well, we bombed a shit-ton of places so it's all cool.

So, I think it's totally vapid comparison.

That said, it ain't the fucking end of the world and we'd be a bunch of short-sighted fucktwats to spite Russian relations because of it.
