I don't trust Pence anymore than Trump, he walks around with his chest puffed out like he's a peacock. If someone like that walked into a room 95 percent of the people in that room would instantly detect his as a poseur. The other 5 percent is Mother.

IMO the reason to like Pence as Pres isn't him -- it's that it will have meant that the system rejected a president that needed to be rejected.

Same RCP polling had Clinton at 38.5% favorable to Trump's 39.5% at the same time in their Presidencies. Most don't remember how badly the Clinton Presidency started. But in those years, there was a moderate middle class that was fluid in terms of approval ratings. Not so now.

Which is a convenient reminder in all of this -- we've established that Trump's election campaign was led by a whole bunch of people that collaborated with the Russian government, and, yet, Trump thinks he's ``totally vindicated". It's the same as saying that Nixon didn't do anything wrong or impeachable because he himself didn't pick the lock on that office door in the Watergate.
