  • So Putin requested the meeting, putting two veteran Russian officials (one believed by US intelligence to be a top Russian spy) in a private meeting with Trump. So 2 men that are trained to collect information with a guy that likes to talk about himself and what "great" things he knows. Well played, Putin.

See, someone suggested Bannon set this meeting up, but I had a sneaking suspicion it was our Comrad Vlad.

Again, it may all be forgotten about and Rosenstein will be welcome to serve in future administrations. Possible or even likely. But clearly at this point giving cover to Trump does nothing more than damaging your own reputation.
McMaster may have been trying to convince allies that they can still share info with us and we won't turn around and immediately share it with other countries.

          • A report in the Washington Post said Mr Trump had confided top secret information relating to an IS plot thought to centre on the use of laptop computers on aircraft.
Mr Trump's move is not illegal, as the US president has the authority to declassify information.

                • If it was something that needed to be shared with Russia, you would think it would be done with the intelligence agencies. Who knew DJT needed to be Jack Bauer?

Don't downplay the significance of the pee tape.

Funny you should mention judge and jury. Maybe we should "lock him up" for handling classified information carelessly?

The issue isn't whether it was legal. It is whether it was wise. This makes it less likely that allies share intel with us, which makes US less safe. All so Trump can impress someone. It's astounding. And crazy that you try to justify it.

                    • We don?t need to share jack shit with Russia. If one of their planes goes down, the explosives used will probably be their own.

More to the point, our President shouldn?t be backslapping and swapping funny intelligence anecdotes with these pricks...he should be kicking them square in the ass and making it clear that the next time they mess around in our elections we?re going to start blowing things up.

Crash- Do you know who Erick Erickson says? The guy who used to run Red State? Do you trust what he says? He says he knows one of the sources personally and completely trusts them AND what Trump did is actually worse than has thus far been portrayed.

Also says Trump cares more about what the media thinks than his own advisors...leaking is how they get him to correct mistakes

See your point, sure. Could be taken in that way. That goes through backchannels, but can't hurt reinforcing it through media as well.
