But, in terms of uniquely and gratingly awful, She Blinded Me With Science, Mr. Roboto, Rock Me Amadeus and perhaps Safety Dance are all good candidates.
I will have to disagree on Falco, Rock Me Amadeus is great. Especially the version where he sings in German. The video is one of the best of early MTV.
Mr. Roboto is awful, I can't believe they played that for heavy metal audiences.
I admit I like Thomas Dolby's opus. But I think you had to live through it. It's a long, meandering, odd song that I can easily see annoying the piss out of people.
That said, I do still like it. I used to like Mr. Roboto and Rock Me Amadeus when I was a kid, and now I can't stand them.
But, let's be honest, depending on how you feel about Geddy Lee's vocals, we're all playing for second. Some folks, most likely those suffering from years of abuse, unspeakable psychiatric maladies and the loving embrace of evil, like his voice. The rest of us think Canada should be nuked for visiting that plague upon the world.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
I just sent him a list with these suggestions. He nixed Ackey-Brakey Heart...he was afraid it might chase too many of them off, and he'd be forced to train another cycle.
