  • I'd like to hear the discussion that took place in whatever meeting he got input for his decision.

If there are no alternate uniforms being worn, what does the primary uniform look like?

I'd also like to know if M's contract with Addidas allows M to say, we will tell you what we will wear, when we will wear it and what it will look like. I think Addidas has some say in this.

I'm generally opposed to the underlying motivation - marketing and apparel sales - for the load of crap that Nike, Addidas, et. al. appears to be forcing on the CFB world.

OTH, it is the nature of the beast, players seem to like it, but only because they are less likely to understand and appreciate the traditions involved in school colors, helmets and uniforms, and there is no denying it can bring in lots of money.

I don't think Brandon or anyone else can stop the dollar driven changes in uniforms. Seems to me his statement is meant as pablum for the masses. I have little doubt he is lying and a good journalist sleuth should be able to pull his pants down right around his ankles.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

    • On another note .......

My daughter, Cara, received her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from VaTech on Friday. She travels to Switzerland in June to begin post-doc studies. Her doctoral thesis, Shear Stress Regulates Tumor Expressed Angiogenic Factors in 3D Microfluidic Cocultures, represents the leading edge in research involving the development of unique cancer therapeutics.

Left to Right: My son Dr. Sean Buchanan, DDS, my daughter Erin Wright, MmSc, Family Nurse Practitioner, my two youngest daughters, Dr. Cara Buchanan, PhD, Rebecca Buchanan, MS, Occupational Therapy.

                        • In other news, the Michigan Women's Softball team advanced to the NCAA "Super Regional" by defeating Cal-Berkley 3-1 today.

                          From Mgoblue.com:

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Sophomore RHP Sara Driesenga (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) stymied the California Golden Bears for the second day in a row, hurling a complete game in the No. 7-ranked University of Michigan softball team's 3-1, NCAA Regional title victory today (Sunday, May 19) at the Wilpon Complex, home of Alumni Field.
Driesenga tossed her third consecutive complete game of the tournament, pitching every inning for the Wolverines in their three victories. She yielded just one run in 21 innings of work. Cal's only tally today came off a Cheyenne Cordes solo home run in the third inning.
The NCAA Regional championship is Michigan's second in a row and 16th overall. The Maize and Blue will appear in the NCAA Super Regional for the eighth time in nine seasons since the format began in 2005.

                          • The off-season.

It's mid-May, Bowl Season is a distant memory, LOI Signing Day has come and gone, the NCAA Tournament is safely in our rear-view mirror, and as Spring winds down, summer approaches. School is about to end and summer vacations await!

Just when I was ready to pronounce "Peace in Our Times", Stan returns.

                            ;-)
