    • They did here anyway.

I mean, really...we won't even start playing bowl games for a month yet, and we've got candycane decorations up? I still have a pumpkin on my front porch. Sheesh.

        • I walked by one of those bell-ringing sons a bitches last weekend at an outdoor mall. Early November, 70 degrees, and he's outside dressed as Santa Claus, going to town with that bell.

          Shit is out of control.

                • I was hoping post election society would move on to more productive discussions. Guess I was na?ve. I think it's worse now.

I always believed that discussions with people you disagree with were some of the best (as long as both sides were civil). It either evolved your thoughts or strengthened them. Either way, you saw another perspective and usually, realized there was more in common with your points of view than disagreements... even though it would appear disagreements was 100% of the focus.

Discussion by either side not only is not wanted, it's highly discouraged. Maybe it's time to walk away..

                    I think so.

To use a metaphor you can associate with emotionally...you have to allow for the flipping of roles, as the Rebellion becomes the Empire, the Empire becomes the Rebellion. (The stormtroopers shoot like shit in either case)

99% of people are not going to change their minds, people usually get defensive or down right angry about these topics. This thread really has been the most civil I have ever seen on a message board. I add my 2 cents sometimes (on election years) and that's more than enough for me. I gave Obama a chance and he was terrible IMO

Unless you are very well acquainted with the company you are discussing Religion and Politics with, yes IMO it is best to leave on the doorstep. If you do venture into these intrepid waters, and find yourself sinking - best to reach for the life preserver of... I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.

                            • Trump folded on the Trump University case and paid 25 million for it to go away. I wonder what sugar daddy paid it off for him. He would have gotten it handed to him in court. It was fraud, he is a con artist and a pathological liar. Kevin Trudeau had better ethics that this guy.

The dollar closed at a 14 year high today. When the last high was reached, the growth rate of GDP was runnng at 7% per annum. The best thing for everyone is a rapidly growing pie. Growth v equity is not an either/or proposition. But the markets are anticipating growth.
