People who want to buy EVs are overwhelmingly liberals and/or people who live in and around big cities and don't have to drive long distances. They might not have had many EV options back in 2018 but that's not the case anymore. Elon can try to replace the lost business with sympathetic MAGA types but good luck to that. I don't see many of them trading in the Ford 150 for the dorky-ass Cybertruck.

This isn't the "gotcha" you thought it was. I said in that exact post that there are a lot of EV options other than Tesla now. Elon had a near-monopoly in the mid-2010's and now he barely controls 40% of the industry. And he's rapidly losing markets in Europe and China too.

Good thing he can basically award himself government contracts now.
