Random Friday evening thoughts:
1. Canada. No, I don't think they should be the 51st state. I think when they become part of the US that they should keep their provincial titles and become states instead of provinces. Except Quebec, of course. Let them become part of France where they belong.
2. Gulf of Mexico/America? Who cares? Call it what you want. Yes its silly to fight about it, or take away a liberal news agency's press (LOL) credentials, because its feels like a group of 8 year olds fighting over a tootsie roll pop. But this is where we are now. We just had a "president" who left America without a leader, unless you consider Jill Biden our "leader". When a ship sails for 4 years without a rudder, its bound to find itself in a mess. And here we are.
3. Russia/Ukraine: Looks like Ukraine is getting screwed in any "peace" agreement. They're losing land no matter what. But if something can happen that shoos the Russians back into Russia where they belong, I guess it may be worth it. Patton was right about the Russians. We shoulda listened to him in 1945.
4. Israel/Gaza/Hamas. Tick tock, Hamas. You're about to be obliterated. You better turn over any hostages, whether dead or alive, or you'll cease to exist as an organization. Bunker busters are on site and ready to use. And I wouldn't be shocked if an American plane or two makes an appearance in assisting Israel. Hamas is holding Americans too.

I don't care what we call it. And I'm absolutely opposed to Canada becoming the 51st state. I mean -- with any politician you get the full package -- the good, the bad, the ugly. You weigh out how that fits with your politics and you make a choice. This stuff, though new, couldn't possibly surprise you. The question is whether you're willing to put up with it in exchange for the reinstitution of "Reman" (thank fucking god) and the almost immediate lockdown of the border and the aggressive approach to DEI.
