lot of stay at home jobs in the federal govt. I imagine less then 1/2 go to work on a regular basis. all HR, scheduling of apointments complaints etc are all basic stay at home jobs. Lots and lots and lots of beancounters stay at home. Lots of people do nothing but look over your shoulders trying to justify their existance work for the feds. Look at all Bidens hires the last 4 years. Everytime there was a jobs report 1/2 were governement sector jobs.

The number is wrong. The offer went out to 2,000,000 federal workers. If 20% accept the offer, that is 64 billion in the first year as savings, plus no prolonged litigation by the government employees' unions.

For the record, the disastrous experiments in progressive central planning and social engineering over the past century -- including the Soviet Union, East Germany, and that haven of progressivism, East Berlin -- didn't force people to leave.

They forced people to stay, including those who didn't want to stay.

It appears large numbers of Americans today don't understand this. Expelling a foreign national criminal who is in the United States illegally is strikingly different than forcibly preventing an East Berlin subject from leaving East Berlin.

Yeah it does sounds like the helicopter's going to be the focus. I've flown into Reagan a bunch of times. My understanding is it has a very complicated airspace because of all the restrictions around it.

A Senator to watch on RFK could be Bill Cassidy (R). He's a former doctor and unlike most of the others he didn't raise issues related to RFK's wacky views, he just calmly asked questions about HHS & Medicare, how this and that functions. And RFK struggled to respond to him.

EDIT: In a different committee this morning he asked RFK to acknowledge that vaccines don't cause autism. RFK dithered but refused to admit that. Says he needs to be shown proof they don't cause autism. Cassidy countered by saying there's already plenty of proof.
