I see a President following thru and not dragging his feet, in keeping his word regarding what he was going to do.
Will he overreach at some point during his term? Probably so. I think that's when reasonable and sane people on both sides of the asile will push back and say "no". And there are reasonable and sane people on both sides.
Yesterday it was reported that over 7,500 illegals with criminal records were arrested, and are now back in the countries where they came from. All in one week. Where was Joe and The PARTY all this time while these clowns were walking our streets? Its noteworthy that ICE agents knew EXACTLY where to go to round up those people. They had the information. They were not allowed to do anything because Chairman Joe and The PARTY wouldn't let them do their jobs. Trump comes in and says "Sic 'em", and away they go. Why was it so easy for Trump?
And I actually watched the WH press briefing yesterday. An adult is back in charge, instead of a raggedy ann doll.
It was fun watching that.
Q: It has been reported that about half of the undocumented migrants that have been deported have not committed a crime. Is that true?
A: No, 100% of the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS have committed a crime, and we are going to follow the law.
Illegals are 50% less likely to commit crimes than "Mericans"
So for every one of these there are two "Mericans" walking around that need to be be dealt with.
You all got played.
You fell for the emotional propaganda and are willing to give up our government to deport the brown people.
And they were not eating your cats and dogs.
Congratulations on being manipulated by the R propaganda machine.
No. Immigrants are 50% less likely to commit likely to commit crimes. Read the damn article. Illegal immigrants are 100% criminals and are to be removed from the country. That is the law.
BTW, you or DSL haven't yet answered what the rationale was for the Biden Administration to open the border. If not to try to do to the US what worked for the Dems in California, making a one-party state, what benefit was this abrogation of US law.
do you stupid fucks have any idea or empathy for those who will be severally adversely affected by "pausing" all federal aid programs? Illegal immigrants walking your streets will be the least of your problems
We do. "Federal aid programs" are the soul of the Dem party. When you put all the welfare recipients, teachers, lawyers, and bureaucrats together, you get the 48.5% of the vote. Profoundly unproductive people sucking at the public tit.
Two things were reported today. 80 million persons on Medicaid (that is 25% of the adult population) are subject to a review for fraud. Good.
An additional $ 3 Trillion will be spent in 24-25 in addition to the $ 7 Trillion that OMB projects will be spent. In Washington, loans and grants are not considered expenditures. Almost all of this is going to NGO's who recycle it to Democrats. I say take away ALL tax deductions for ALL 501 organizations. If you want to give to a church or to Al Sharpton do so, but don't use the government to recycle money to NGOs who are cutting a fat hog in the ass "helping" illegals.
The pause did stop $ 50 million earmarked for condoms for Gaza. You care to defend that, Stan?
IDK, the biggest cost of running any business is personnel. You want to cut costs? Work force reduction will do that fast. The company doing that doesn't care if past employees can't make their car or mortgage payments. What is the size of the hole the federal government has dug itself into by spending trillions more than it takes in as revenue? Companies that do that sort of think quickly become insolvent. The US federal government is or should be insolvent. The difference between running the government and running a business is that the government can just sell more bonds and print more money to keep itself afloat. Businesses can't do that. Government shouldn't be able to do that either. Fiscal conservatives have been trying, unsuccessfully it appears, to stop the bleeding for a while.
I don't think anyone thinks deficit spending at the level that is being spent is just fine. But nevermind. Citizens have become numb to deficit spending. Congress, who is in charge of spending through budget authorizations, is out of control, having nothing to stop them from funding their favorite projects to win votes for re-election when that time comes.
The long term costs of doing that year in and year out is going to come home to roost. Trump's move, painful as it might seem to government employees who "resign," the plan saves the government about 3 Billion/year. That's a nice chunk of change applied to reduce spending and in turn, the federal deficit - something Trump promised to do. He's doing it.
No Jeff. Trump proposes to pay Federal Employees full wages and benefits for eight months if they resign by February 6. If 10% accept that offer, that saves the government $100 Billion per year.
If anyone can provide proof that $50 Million worth of condoms was allocated to Gaza, enough for 750 condoms for every human being, please post that proof. Quotes from Trump or his lickspittles do not constitute "proof". No Republican in Congress has EVER brought this up before the past 48 hours. I call bullshit.

There are about 2.25 million non-military employees of the federal government and over half of those work for the Dept of Defense, Homeland Security, or the VA. You people wildly overestimate how many people work at the Departments you loathe, like Education or HUD.
If 10% take the offer that's 225,000 employees. To save the government $100 billion annually those employees would need to be making roughly $445,000 a year in salary and benefits on average. Again, I'm not buying this at all. You're directly parroting Trump without even checking if its plausibly true. And if I had a job like that, I think i'd stick around and take my chances. Not take a buyout.
